Liked: Warm, cosy, quiet (this time of year), friendly staff, clean dorms and rooms, pancake breakfast. Though the location is not as close to downtown as some, the bus stop is right outside and we enjoyed the quiet.

Disliked: It didn't matter at the time we stayed but the showers would be hard to get to during a busy season as there is only 2.

Liked: Very laid back. free breakfast. felt like you could do whatever you wanted

Disliked: staff were a little too laid back. There were a lot of them but you never knew who was on duty. eg the free pancakes and coffee are make your own, which is fine but nobody tells you this or where anything is, and all the coffee stuff is locked away in the staff office. would still recommend as a place to stay.

Liked: The free pancakes for breaksfast was good!

Disliked: Lots of staff, hard to tell who worked there and not, but wasn't a real problem becasue everybody were very helpful.

Liked: Many staffs.Funny place.

Disliked: Noisy. Pots and dishes in the kitchen are not enough.I knew the dorm is mixed, but a man came to his girl's bed in the midnight! It's horrible, and uncomfortable for me.

Liked: This place has lots of character and tons of activities to do. Very friendly and helpful staff. It would've been perfect for me if I was 10 years younger.

Disliked: Our room was under the kitchen and good luck trying to sleep there as you hear every footstep. The kitchen has a ton of traffic since it connects the deck with the living room.

Liked: It is cheap, and the staff are friendly enough.

Disliked: Converted house that is overly packed. Rooms don't have lacks and the lockers provided were broken or in use by other guests. Only two bathrooms (and two half baths) which was not enough to accommodate guests.

Liked: When we arrived there was a mix up with the booking and the staff had not received our booking from hostelbookers (booked 3 months in advance). They did not have any private rooms left so they shuffled some people around and gave us a dorm room to ourselves at a discounted rate.Hostel was clean, colourful and friendly!

Disliked: Location not the best, About a 15-20 min walk into town.

Liked: big dorm rooms, very clean, towels provided

Disliked: Although pancakes were provided for breakfast there was only space for one person to cook at a time and very disorganised - waited over and hour and only managed to have one pancake - ended up just going to Tim Horton's for breakfast. So if you're staying here do not rely on getting a free breakfast!

Liked: The people you meet are amazing, from all walks of life! Everyone is friendly and makes you feel welcome. If you have never been to a hostel then the first day might be a little akward but that will change in no time, by the first night everyone is talking to you and you will probably have about 10 new friends! The hostel itself is walking distance to stores and fast food places such as kfc, dairy quuen and subway there is also a booze shop in the same area and the general location is beautiful and the bus stop is right across the street near the hospital incase you want to get to more stores on the main stretch ( hwy 97)
