Liked: Cheap, friendly, helpful.

Disliked: Location is remote with only one shuttle a day, without a vehicle it's difficult to get anywhere. Very basic facilities

Liked: Very friendly staff and the kitchen was great.

Disliked: A bit far from Jasper townsite, but the shuttel to town was handy.

Liked: The atmosphere was so relaxing and comfortable. The offer of three nights for the price of two was amazing. The kitchen facilities were great.

Disliked: Only two female toilets available. Individual lights in the dorms would have been good, the lights in the room were on a timer and came on too early in the morning.

Liked: Co-ed rooms are ok but do look like an orphenage. It's far from downtown and if you'd like there are 3 private rooms in here that you can book by phone.

Disliked: too many people in the same room, although it wasn't busy at the time.

Liked: The common room was good. Fairly cheap.

Disliked: Location is pretty poor, we had a car,so ok. Also wifi is really poor signal and is nowadays a must for travellers

Liked: Nice place if you want to be out in nature! However, can be difficult to get into Japser from here if you do not have a car. But otherwise a nice, and very small hostel.

Disliked: Transport from/to there. Internet does not work very well either.

Liked: The living room

Disliked: The Internet was very slow The "no shoe inside" rule, which was not respected, so it is worst for people which respects the rules Shower rooms were very wet and cold The lights are turned off at 11 PM, and the staff didn't warn us, so we were really surprised. The dorm was very dark, even when the light is turned on. They clean the kitchen during the lunch hours, so we cannot use it between 12PM and 2PM...

Liked: Great atmosphere especially around the campfire in the evenings. Kept very clean and bike hire was easy and convienient.

Disliked: Large dorms and there is only half as many lockers as beds

Liked: There were a few cool people there to meet and it had amazing views from the kitchen windows of the rockies. nice fire in the evening

Disliked: It was soooo far away from the town of jasper with NO trails that you could do near the hostel. It meant walking 6k each way everyday just to start a trail or to pick up some groceries! either that or get a taxi for $15 each way. The staff were not particularily helpful and we got put in an all female dorm which we didnt ask for and had to stay with very loud school children under 15 (not the hostel atmosphere I had imagined) Also the beds were incredibly close together so felt like you were sharing a bed with randoms! there was also bedbugs so covered in so many bites after only 2 nights.

Liked: super friendly and helpful staff, probably once in a lifetime experience to share your bedroom with 38 other people but it's okay for a few nights, excellent kitchen facilities; third night free was a nice surprise

Disliked: sometimes it gets a little bit cold in the winter because of the fan in the bedroom which guarantees fresh air, but is also noisy; forgot to send an e-mail that female dorm is closed

Disliked: Quite a way out of town and have to pay for shuttle buses into town - 7km away.

Disliked: Dorms are way too big, poor kitchen facilities, wifi doesn't work good at all!

Liked: Good location, hot showers, cheap coffee and rooms. Bare-basics dormitory style backpackers, which is all you need when going on long hikes.

Disliked: Enormous dormitories, often woken up by people entering and leaving the room.

Liked: Cheap and cheerful, although you get what you pay for. Two toilets for over 20 people and they were both blocked on my second day. Windowless dorms with poor ventilation. The place smelt like a cattle truck when full. The kitchen and common areas were good though.

Liked: The Staff were just awsome, they dropped you off at lakes and mountains to hike for the day and gave you great tips to visit the hot spots.We had the best time there by the fireplace sharing all types off storys to the staff and other guests, Fantastic!

Liked: Great location. Free shuttle to/ from town. Curfew 11 pm till 8 am. Great staff. Free snow shoe hire. Large kitchen/common area.
