Jasper is a quieter and less traveled town compared to its popular neighbor to the south, yet it matches equally in natural splendor.
Jasper is not just a National Park, this charming town offers a little bit of everything to visitors. The compact downtown area (two short streets) allows visitors to soak up the small town atmosphere and the distinct style of local hospitality that Jasper has to offer. 'Nightlife' consists of a fun, chilled-out evenings outside on the hostel patio, with the mountains and the setting sun in the background. Once the sun is down, enjoy the campfire as fellow hostellers share jokes and their day's adventures well into the night.
At HI-Jasper we think BIG! Aside from our 3 Private Rooms we offer guests a Female Dorm with 28 beds and a Co-Ed Dormitory with 44 beds.
We have a great kitchen and common area on our main floor as well as a tv room in the basement. Outside is where the real action is though. In the summer months we have a great fire pit and deck for guests to relax and socialize. Ask about our great deals on activities to do in the area.
HI-Jasper is located 7km from Jasper townsite on Whistler's Mountain Road.
Escaping crowds, tourists, commercialism and a pumping nightlife, Jasper yields an attractive alternative for anyone seeking a small town retreat or wilderness escape. As you drive the world famous Icefield Parkway, from Banff towards Jasper you will be rewarded with amazing vistas, mountain ranges, beautiful scenery, and maybe, the occasional glimpse of wildlife . The thunderous Sunwapta and Athabasca Falls are always popular stops along the Icefield Parkway as well as the Columbia Icefields, which is a stone’s throw from Banff National Park.
