Overview
Your home away from home centrally located on Gottngen St, the city's hippiest, multicultural neightbourhood.
Our hostel is located north of downtown Halifax, only 5 minutes walk to the waterfront and all the other major amenities.
Halifax Backpackers is owned by two young and experianced backpackers.
We provide a friendly, personal atmosphere based on our own travel experiances. We are the only hostel that provides insider local information (because we are locals!).
For your convenience we have an onsite organic fairtrade cafe and second-hand bookstore.
Halifax Backpackers exemplifies the grass roots community spirit that makes Halifax worth visitng.

Here, we do things a little different. Social friday BBQ's bring strangers together and Tuesday frisbee games create memories to share long after the trip come to an end. Experience the heart of Halifax!
