Fernies Raging Elk backpackers hostel is situated in the heart of the Canadian Rockies. Fernie is world re-found for loads of epic powder in the winter...an average of 29 feet per year!!

Fernie Alpine Resort has four large open bowls, with a variety of terrain for all levels and back country skiing is easy accessible from the lifts. Also enjoy one of the world class cat skiing operations based only minutes from our front doors.
In summer Fernie is the base camp to world class mountain biking. The town hosts events such as the B.C cup and Trans Rockies. Try mountain biking from one of the trails situated right outside our front doors or enjoy the lifts accessible from July onwards.
Fernie also has great hiking, fly fishing and enjoyable lakes close by.

Accommodation Information

The hostel provides spacious accommodation in the form of dorms (four person and larger), private rooms with TV, en-suite and fridge or family suites with en-suite facilities at a budget rate.
