Liked: It is in a great location downtown, easy access by transit

Disliked: The stairwell was smelly going downstairs to my room, however; it was old carpet... and the place itself is very clean.

Liked: Miss Joy on reception, reasonably close to bus station, bathroom in fairly spacious 4 bed dorm, decent kitchen

Disliked: Nowhere close to go at night but a bus can get you to Whyte Ave in Old Strathcona in about 10 minutes

Liked: Staff was helpful. Location was good.Room and kitchen were clean and big enough.Indivisual locker was big and clean.I wish I could have used internet in my room.And I hope water pressure was higher..

Liked: great staff and really liked the room set up - private washrooms for the room a big plus (although with 6 people, it does get a bit dirty after a day or two!) great location.. overall, recommended highly!

Liked: Although the whole experience was ok since it was sorta conveniently located, some points listed were not always true. It stated that there was free Wi-fi but it turns out that the hostel doesn't have it, instead it turns out that the Wi-fi is from downstairs but unless you're at the pub itself, you can't get even a bit of a signal. Instead, the signal is from the hotel, The coast, which is next door and depending on where you sit in the lobby, you might not get a connection at all. Also, it was stated there will be hair-dryers but there wasn't, and I ended up having to buy my own. But overall, I guess the whole experience was ok, sometimes the magnet key cards didn't work so well but minus the no food/drinks in your rooms, the staff was pretty friendly.

Liked: I had a great time at this hostel. The people we were rooming with were a lot of fun and very trustworthy. I didn't even feel the need to lock up our bags! I would definitely recommend this to any travelers.
