Liked: Very relaxed atmosphere, staff were helpful and friendly and it was nice and close to everything you needed. I'd stay there again.

Disliked: Internet connection, it was difficult to get anything done and only worked well for skype.

Liked: In a busy and vibrant area - near Whyte Ave. Close to lots of shops and grocery store. Big kitchen with lots of appliances.

Disliked: A bit far to walk to downtown.

Liked: It's in a decent spot.

Disliked: The staff member who checked us in at 2a.m. was totally inept. It took him half an hour to check 2 travelers in wrong, ringing in one credit card as the wrong kind before I got a chance to correct him, then he took the credit card and when I realized later it had to be canceled. What is more, he split up us 2 female travelers who had booked together, saying "the rooms got messed up" and therefore instead of a 2-sleeper room of our own the two would have to be split up and the morning people would deal with it. So we slept in separate rooms the first night but turns out the next morning there had BEEN free 2-bed rooms. So we had to move for the 2nd night and my shoes got stolen when moving rooms.

Liked: Close to Whyte Ave, friendly.

Disliked: Hardly any room in the lower bunk beds. Far away from Downtown (close to Whyte Ave but it's overrated).

Liked: Great location with Whyte Ave a block away. Plenty of two-person rooms, free wi-fi. Beds were comfy.

Disliked: More long-term stays than people making trips at the property. Not necessarily bad, just a different vibe.

Liked: -Very funny and responsive staff-Witty and humorous rule postings around the hostel-Spacious lounge area with lots of seating-Option to request a wake-up call from front desk-Free linens; towels provided on request-Lots of local and city maps posted; weekly and nightly events posted; staff highly helpful and knowledgeable-Humorous rule postings-Spacious and well-stocked kitchen facilities

Disliked: -Couches in lounge are not as comfortable as I would like -The pool table in the downstairs game room is coin-op; I wish that I could play pool for free (eh, c'est la vie) -Towels aren't giant

Liked: Location was good for going out at night, free parking, rooms were not too cramped, nice kitchen.

Disliked: breakfast would have been nice... Not very many bathrooms--if the place was booked full they would've been very crowded.

Liked: This hostel has a excellent location, is very clean and comfortable. The kitchen is 24 hours.

Disliked: You have to pay to play the games in the games room.

Liked: The sitting area in the middle of the building is a great place to meet people or to just chill and read a book. The staffa re really friendly and willing to help you whenever you need it. Perfect location, next the Whyte st.

Disliked: One of the showers was not working and the bed was not very comfortable

Liked: I really liked the staff this location, I hadn't being to Edmonton before but the staff were really helpful so I knew my way around. Also it is in a great location so close to everything but still a nice hostel.

Disliked: I thought the beds could of being more comfortable and 6 people to a room can be a little much sometimes

Liked: I loved the area and the staff were wicked, there were heaps of nice touches like staff picks and recommendations for cafes, walks and places to go

Liked: It was very clean although that was more to do with the staff, unfortunately other Hostel members were not doing their bit in the sink. The Common Room was nice and spacious. Plenty of seating. Well thought out things like the hooks in the bedrooms & lockers for each bed and in the kitchen! The only thing is that some of the hobs were not working which caused a bit of a problem, there was a sign saying that the parts had been ordered but it was dated May 2006!!!! Maybe it was a sneaky safety feature. And the microwave was probably the most complicated & un-user friendly I have ever met. But other than that, very good.
