Liked: The staff were really helpful and friendly, the dorms were spacious and comfortable. I went to the bar to watch a band play and a great night with the people I met.

Disliked: It made me sad to leave.

Liked: Great location, a short walk into town. Good facilities. The staff were super friendly.

Disliked: We stayed in a large apartment type room (12 people) and there was one toilet and shower (joined) for all of us, which meant a big queue in the morning and evenings for showers and toileting.

Liked: The breakfast was awesome, Dorms were spaceious and so was the bathroom. It was clean and secure and easy to reach from the greyhound or Amtrak station (5-10min walk) Really nice people and bar onside, which makes it very easy for people traveling by themselves to meet other people.

Disliked: Nothing really...it was great :)

Liked: The atmosphere and staff are good. informative and the bar area is good

Disliked: No lift and no air con! Heat on the third floor is ridiculous!

Liked: Great, clean room, with TV and Jacuzzi! Comfortable common room for chillin' out if you didn't fancy the bar! Staff really helpful with our next hostel booking. As wi-fi was down, he rang on our behalf.

Disliked: Wi-fi was down for all of our stay which affected us quite badly as we couldn't plan the next stage of our trip. Also the kitchen utensils were very bad. Not one knife could cut through my loaf of bread and the eating cutlery was plastic! Come on, we're not on a plane! My knife snapped when I was cutting through a sausage! Lastly there was no space in the car park so told to park on back street. Fine until we got a parking ticket the next day for being too near a fire hydrant. We were unaware of the rule and whilst we have to take responsibility it would have been nice to be informed not to park near one as we were obviously 'out of towners' and only forced to park there because their car park was full.

Liked: It has a bar on site and is reasonable price for banff.

Disliked: The staff were not very helpfull and the Internet never worked. Our doomroom door didn't close properly and was hard to open. It is a bit of a walk into the middle of town.

Liked: Very close to town centre, just a short walk to shops, bars etc with the bus stop almost outside if you need to go further. Food in the bar very good and the nightly six dollar special is the best value in Banff, Free breakfast is a bonus, pancakes, fresh oranges, toast and juice. Staff very friendly, Live music in the bar was very good as was the beer.

Disliked: Struggling to think of something so I don't sound like a Samesun employee but can't think of anything.

Liked: Great atmosphere and really friendly staff / helpful staff. Cheap beer and food as well.

Liked: Staff are friendly and helpful. Nice place to meet people with a place to drink at night

Disliked: Wireless connection is quite bad in the rooms. Do not expect too much about their breakfast and location is average.

Liked: This hostel is good. But WiFi is pretty slowly. I like it without that.

Disliked: Bar in this hostel is pretty noisy.

Liked: The bar had a great atmosphere and was a great place to chill out and meet people. The room was a good size, and it was nice to have a private shared bathroom.

Disliked: Possibly a tad on the pricey side, but definitely worth it on a short term basis.

Liked: Location-wise is good as it is located in downtown within walking distance.

Disliked: Some staff were not friendly. Breakfast is not as expected.

Liked: The rooms are more like hotel rooms than hostel accomodations. It's great to have a fireplace and an own bathroom even with a jacuzzi.

Disliked: The kitchen facilities are a little bit poor and the included breakfast could be presented a little bit nicer.

Liked: This place is great because it is right downtown and close to all the local pubs and attractions. The rooms were fabulous!! Our dorm had a jacuzzi tub and a fire place. It was the perfect place to warm up after a long day on the mountain. Our roommates were fabulous and we all had a great time in the pub downstairs which has the cheapest drinks in town and fantastic food! I would highly recommend the steak and ale pie. Yummy!!

Disliked: The only thing it didn't have was an elevator but the staff and the people around were super helpful so it didn't matter anyway.
