Liked: Location is perfect - very near to pub street.

Disliked: It's a bit dangerous for those who travels alone as it is a bit down of a dark alley.

Liked: This is a family run place and all the staff were very freindly and helpful. The loaction is excellent if you want to be in the very centre, literally a 2 minute walk to the main shops, bars and restaurants. Nice breakfast too!

Disliked: The bathroom was really tiny, but still functional! There were a few small blood stains on the sheets but to be fair this is not the first time i've seen marks on the sheets in SE Asia in hostels. Also I stayed for 2 nights but the room is not made up nor do you get a fresh towel, so no housekeeping it appears for that length of stay. Plus quite a few miji's in the room, so expect some bites...but to be fair it's a hot country so not much you can do!

Liked: Really friendly and helpful staff at front desk. They are a family and helped organise our coach to Pnom Penh and trip to Angkor Wat for reasonable prices. It's also a 2 minute walk away from Pub Street.

Disliked: Josephine left no negative feedback.

Liked: Super friendly staff who really take care of you, rather than just treating you like a cash cow. Location is especially good, all amenities and entertainment close by without any of the noise or traffic.

Disliked: The cleanliness of the bathroom left a little to be desired, and our bathroom door didn't close properly. However not enough to taint the great experience we had there.

Liked: The location is amazing. Within minutes from the main section of town (Pub Street), but still away from all of the traffic and bar noise.

Disliked: Unfortunately during our stay there was a lot of building work directly above our room that started at 7:15am. Although this might be fine for some people, it's not ideal for those who like to lie in and relax in the mornings. Work is due to be finished by Jan 2012. Also some of the trips (Angkor Wat) are slightly overpriced compared to other companies or Tuk Tuks.

Liked: Really friendly staff, clean rooms, water, helpful with finding things in the city, it's close to the center of town but not to close that you hear any noise. Lovely place to stay, and I will always stay here when I visit SR.

Disliked: There was construction going on on the third floor, but this is meant to be for only a week or two longer.

Liked: We loved the service, smiles and location of this place - everyone put attention in every detail, and made us feel at home. We hired tuk tuks for exploring the temples, and they knew exactly what to do. The guesthouse was close to the pub street as mentioned, but we had perfectly quiet nights. We also loved the pancakes. They're some of the best pancakes I've eaten in my life! Totally recommended!

Liked: Meang and his family could not have been more helpful, from tracking our arrival and picking us up (free of charge) from the bus station, to arranging fair priced tours, outward journeys, extending our stay and offering us late breakfast. The family there even informed us of a popular party event that locals attend, and took us along with them. The location could not have been better, just a minute from Pub Street. Contrary to some reports on here we found both the hostel and room very clean. The breakfast is the tastiest and most extensive that we've found in Asian Hostels/Guesthouses. Overall I could not advise this place enough.

Disliked: That they don't have properties in Battambang and Phnom Pehn also!

Liked: We end up staying at the Promh Roth inn, since the other hostel was flooded for our reservation. The owner was very good and care of our safety

Disliked: There is no restaurant in the guesthouse for lunch and dinner. And the corridors are too dark.

Liked: Amazing atmosphere thanks to an always friendly family staff. Their English is great and will help you organize any tours to suit your schedule. Based on some research in town they still proved to be cheaper! They picked us up from the bus depot on arrival and let us use a room long after checkout while we waited for the night bus on our last day. Breakfast, computers/wifi and unlimited water bottles all included for free. They are in a quiet lane which is the extension of pub street - could not ask for a better location.

Disliked: Could not find fault with the Prohm Roth.

Liked: Fantastic staff at this family-run guesthouse, always smiling and willing to help out. Arrived in Siem Reap to find the town centre was under a foot of water, the manager offered to move us to his other property out of town (and provide a free tuktuk service into town) but as the guesthouse itself was fine and everything we wanted was underwater anyway, we thought we'd stay. The guesthouse has its own tuktuk drivers who are really friendly, know Angkor Wat (and other local highlights) well and are good value for money. Free cold water whenever we stepped in the front door and breakfast included the best pancakes we've had anywhere in South East Asia and the guys even fixed a broken flipflop free of charge! Beautiful room, really spacious for the price, very clean and with a wonderful shared area with a large window overlooking the pagoda next door.

Liked: Friendly and extremely helpful staff. We were staying at another place in Siem Reap but had to move. They came to collect us free of charge and we're very glad we moved to this hostel as it was great. Breakfast is very good with more choice than most places - Pancakes are excellent. Location is perfect

Disliked: WIFI not very good in the room.

Liked: Very helpful staff; excellent location near pub street, but just far enough away to escape the noise! Hostel can arrange cheap tuk-tuk for visits around the Angkor area.

Disliked: Cleanliness was not perfect, particularly in the bathroom.

Liked: VERY friendly staff. The brothers go out of their way to help you. They even drove us to the shit bus when the promised pick up didn`t happen. really good place and close to pub street, yet quite!

Disliked: nothing to dislike. only stayed for 2n, that-s the only point to dislike=p
