Liked: Nice clean rooms, really good location- close to the riverfront and central markets.

Disliked: Told them i needed a pick up from the bus station when i got off the bus there was no one there so just paid for a tuk tuk. However when i got to the hostel the woman on reception said someone was waiting for me and i felt like she was having a go at me for not getting their pick up, despite the fact that i told her i looked for the guy but didnt see anyone waiting. Also the lockers were on the floor below not in your room which was odd and there was only one bathroom for the whole floor- not sure how many people were on the floor though.

Liked: This was our 2nd time staying there and like before we really enjoyed it. Staying in 7 Dorm each bed has own personal fan which is really nice. The set breakfast for returning customers is great value and the cheapest around. Easy place to meet fellow travelers plus Martin and Dauvi are great for providing you with sources of information about the locals and local area and arranging future transport.

Disliked: The hostel is pretty basic but considering the cost, it's worth the stay.

Liked: Martin is very knowledgeable about the area and super helpful. A fan for each bed was awesome and free laundry if you stay more than one night!

Disliked: Maybe some in the bedroom would be good. It gets light pretty early. This was really the only thing though!

Liked: Good location within easy walking distance of the Quay which is where all the action is. Ths staff were nice and quite friendly. Had lockers which was great. Very generous breakfast and laundry included in the price ($6). They weren't at all anal about the laundry being the exact weight which made a nice change from other places I've stayed in and which I thought was really very kind. The owner was very nice and also seemed very kind.

Disliked: The beds were a bit too basic to be honest, comprising of a (clean, mind you) mattress on the floor. While it was comfortable enough lying down in the bed, they need to invest in some proper beds. A bit more comfort wouldn't go amiss really. Hot showers would have been nice too.

Liked: Was close to main nightlife area, and loads of bars and food places. Dorm was a bit overcrowded and mattresses on floor. However so cheap you cant complain, and the staff were friendly. The bathroom is fantastic, one of the best I have ever seen, and I think given time due to renovations etc, this place will stand out, esp if the bathroom is anything to go by.

Liked: The helpful owner made our stay at this hostel. He could tell us about the area and help with further travel arrangements. He also offered to help when my friend was ill.It's great value in that for $2 extra you can get 2kg of washing and a good breakfast. Only down points are that in teh dorms the beds aren't too comfortable and there aren't any curtains but it was still nice!

Liked: This place ticked all the boxes. Its run by a truely lovely family, who can't do enough to help you and the location is good as its only a short walk to the riverside.

Liked: The only good thing about this place is the location. The beds are horrible, and pretty much resemble wood planks nailed together with an extremely thin mattress. They were extremely uncomfortable. I stayed in the private room, and the only window it had was looking onto the dorm next to us. The room had a fan but it was still boiling hot with no ventilation, and the shower was cold. The reception area looks like a construction site, because apparently "they are renovating" but I was told that it had been like this for years. Although it is cheap, I have stayed at many places across Cambodia for the same price, with far more to offer in terms of value. I wouldn't stay here again, even if the location is good.

Liked: Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Good location just a short walk to the cafes and bars by the river. Very clean. They are having new beds made as the old ones are not that comfortable.

Liked: This place was good for the price (a case of u get what u pay for). The beds were extremely thin, kinda looked like an army field hospital. The whole place could do with a clean. Don't be fooled by the 'new hostel' part...might have opened recently, but it's not 'new'. The guy who runs it is American and I personally thought he was a little strange, but generally staff were nice. Good location, near riverside and weekend mkt. On a good note the pancakes were yum!
