The Wat Phnom Pagoda, as it is commonly known, is the most famous city landmark, and is the Temple, from which the Capital City - Phnom Penh takes its name. Initially built by Lady Penh in 1372, it was rebuilt in 1434, 1890, 1894, 1926 and most recenlty 1998.

Today, this pagoda stands on a small hill, is one of the favourite temple for worship. it is also a popular and well-known tourist attraction that is open daily to visitors.
