Liked: Our hostess, Emilia, was wonderful - friendly, informative, cheerful, and full of interesting and helpful information about Sofia and Bulgaria in general. Breakfast was perfect - fresh handmade bread with a dairy spread, great coffee, some meat and cheese. The room was nice and clean, wifi worked as expected, and everything was just generally pleasant.

Disliked: The location is on the verge of being dicey - one street further north (between Slivnitsa and the train/bus stations) and I wouldn't recommend it but I think Pop Bogomil Street itself seemed safe, if kind of dark and dim. And Maria Luiza Blvd looked questionable after dark but that's easily avoided by walking through the neighborhood back from the center or taking a bus to the lion's bridge (Lavov Most).

Liked: The hosts are very friendly and helpful. They were always happy to give tips about what to do in Sofia, and how to get around the city. Hostel is not very expensive. It has a very good location.The hostel is near of center of Sofia. It's very comfortable. Rooms are clean. The breakfast was very good. Thanks a lot.

Liked: The mother and daughter who run this hostel were very friendly and welcoming. They were always happy to give tips about what to do in Sofia, and how to get around the city. The room was comfortable and clean and the breakfast was good.

Liked: I spent two days in a small, quiet and nice place, named Elysia hostel, with a perfect cleanness and a helpful hostess. In the very center of the city with many possibilities of publioc transport, not very expensive.I warmly recommend this place to evryone who is looking for a clean and cosy pleace in a peaceful part of Sofia, Bulgaria.

Liked: The place is a nice place to stay! The city center of Sofia is at walking distance, some grocery shops and a book shop are located in the estate. The hosts are very friendly and helpful - although his English is quite bad he is very interested in communicating. Hers is good. All rooms come with a bathroom, breakfest is included and nice, wishes are respected.When you arrive by bus or train make sure to get a taxi to reach the hostel... the direction is not very clear and you easely get into bad estates when walking into the wrong direction. Taxi is about 6 Leva. To get home by night try to catch a taxi in the city center - don't take one of the waiting taxis long the Bvd. Maria Louiza... all cheaters ;) and ask for conditions BEVOR you get into the taxi!!! > serious taxi drivers present their identity cards, and a emergency number should be mentioned next to it.As usual in Bulgaria you will have problems to find the tourist office. The office is situated in Sv. Sofia, close to the Sveta Nedelya Square!

Liked: Location - handy for the bus station and the city. The floor needed washing, and 'towels' were hand towels - not big enough for a shower! Also, breakfast is a little late - between 9am and 9.30am.

Liked: The place is run by a husband and wife team, Valeri and Emilia, who both are extremely attentive and helpful. They are new to this business - five months - and are eager to please. They serve a nice, tasty little breakfast to get you going for the day. My only criticism is that I dare you to find the place using the directions they have posted on the web site. The place is in an interesting location, to say the least. From the train station, it is a 3 Leva ride, if you can find an honest cab driver.

Liked: Friendly hostess who makes a good healthy breakfast. This hostel is not too far from the centre of town so most things are walking distance. If you're coming from the airport, take an 'OK' taxi for about 12 Lv (6 Euros).

Liked: We were only the 2nd group of guests to stay at this hostel (29/12/08) and, although the couple running it are new at this, they are very friendly, eager to please and gave us a lift to the airport for a very reasonable rate. It's well located within walking distance to the main sites of Sofia and is a great place to stay if you prefer somewhere quiet. We rented the triple room which had new beds and bedding and a new bathroom with a good shower.
