Liked: The location is fair. Just walk 15 minutes from the bus and train station. The price is very cheap! It only costed 15 euros for a private room with toilet and TV! It was really quiet and you can have your privacy! I met a girl from Malta and we just chatted more than an hour during the breakfast time! The staff is wonderful too! I love it!

Liked: the orignial tiled floor

Disliked: The insolation was very bad and the room was very hard to air, so it was much too hot. The commun space was way too small to welcome all the guests. The employee listened to music untill 3am which stoped us sleeping The employees smoked in the corridors and commun space and the smoke and smell filled the room. The lack of carater and decoration of the bedroom

Liked: House had character and rooms too. Nicely furnished and the owner was very nice with us. Breakfast was good, free coffe and tea available all day. Cosy atmosphere.

Disliked: We had an incident with three cockroaches coming from the bathroom during the night. However we don't think it's due to a lack of cleaning of the house. The reason seems to be that we had left food in the bin.

Liked: We had a most enjoyable stay at The Rooms Hostel, Sofia. As this holiday was our first experience of using hostels, we were unsure of what to expect but we were certainly pleasantly surprised.The Hostel is an old building but has lots of character and is good value for money. The bedrooms although basic are all themed but are perfectly formed and clean, the showers are hot, and we found the Common Room very good as we enjoyed meeting the other guests from all around the world.With us having little knowledge of the Bulgarian language it was rather nice to know that English is frequently spoken here. The staff also were very friendly and most helpful with directions to anywhere we wanted to go and were on hand to order airport taxi.The Hostel was within 15-minute walking distance to the Bus/Train Stations, and very close to restaurants and shops and was also well placed for exploring Sofia City. We would have no hesitation in using this Hostel again and indeed in recommending this Hostel to others.

Liked: nice and small place.. the staff helped us a lot with the taxi change.. tourist information.. and everything! athough it was late night.. rooms were clean with independent bathrooms.. it was a fine place to be..

Liked: Cozy place, cheery staff. Full of interesting people, even in January, which is as off-season as it gets in this country. Your first trip to Sofia and you don't know where to go in the evenings? Just grab some beers from the supermarket and party with your hosts and their other guests. Peter has excellent taste in music. :)

Liked: the staff at the hostel are great and cant help u enough.. the place has a real charm and friendly atmosphere.. it is easy to relax in this hostel.. also its in a great location near the city centre for all the sights

Liked: The host was very friendly and helpful. Run down antique furniture everywhere adds to the ambiance. Clean sheets, towels and internet access. Nice and quiet.

Liked: Situated on a quiet side road it's only 15 mins walk to downtown Sofia for cheap eats and even closer to the bus and train stations. Peter and Olia are very friendly hosts and always able to help with questions. The only downside is that there are no kitchen facilities but tea and coffee were available 24/7. A good place to stay if you're on a budget.

Liked: The staff is very helpful and warm, the atmosphere is relaxed, you can go and have a free cup of tea and a good chat any time you want. This is a good place to be if you want to meet nice people. The toilets are fine and clean. On the downside, the beds could be better, the twins at our room were rather "sisters" beds, with different heights, one too hard, another too soft, both of them way too old. In all, the helpful staff, the atmosphere and the affordability of the place make up for the bad things. I'd recommend this hostel for budget travelers.

Liked: really good hostel.cheap good location quite street only 10 min by foot from the train station and 15 from the city center.could be cleaner but the company of Peter and Olia is the best you can find in Sofia!!!
