Liked: The staff were very friendly. Location was perfect for the town and Danube river. I was the first to use the new bathroom put in and the shower was amazing. Would definitely recommend.

Disliked: Distance from the train/bus station. But i would rather walk that extra mile to stay in a nice secure location with friendly staff, than stay next to the stations.

Liked: Hostel is situated close to inner city. Guys at reception were trying hard but.......(--> see dislikes)

Disliked: Guys at reception were trying hard but had some problems with English. Weren't quite well informed about touristic matters or interesting things for travelers . Window in rooms was almost impossible to close, which left a quite strong feeling of insecurity. Smoking in lobby disturbs non-smokers. Kitchen in the cellar was somehow depressing. It was difficult to distinguish between staff, friends of staff (who were just there for reasons of boredom?)

Liked: Wonderful accommodation and the proprietor is a lovely lady; very helpful and friendly. Stayed in the 5 bed air con room which was huge. Great kitchen facilities downstairs. Loads of rooms but never felt crowded. One of the best places we stayed.

Liked: Nice warm welcome from staff, very nice room, great location close to the centre of town. A good place to relax if you have had hassles in Romania!!!

Disliked: Smoking allowed in kitchen, and smokey in lobby area

Liked: The owner provides all relevant information, and arranges trips to interesting locations around the city.

Disliked: We got a different type of room we had reserved due to double booking (wanted ensuite, practically got a shared bathroom). We did get a discount because of this.

Liked: Best value for money of any place we have stayed at in 3 months in europe. Room was spectacular. spotless, spacious, ensuite, air con, free breakfast and a lovely manager/owner who was funny, always smiling and willing to help anyone. If you dont book this place you have rocks in your head!

Liked: A great, perfect place to stay put in Ruse! In fact.. the ONLY place! Enjoy the atmosphere, joke around with Steve, and enjoy Danube life! You won't regret staying here at all!
