Liked: Excellent location, in between Vila Madalena and Jardim Paulista. Safe neighbourhood. The double room was OK & functional (despite the smell of the toilet!). The girl who works there is quite friendly.

Disliked: Firstly, they didn't have a record of our booking when we arrived. Luckily, they had a room for us. Then they suddenly became desperate to get our money off us like they thought we were going to do a runner. We didn't have any cash when we arrived and said we'd pay them once we'd been to an ATM. But we later returned to our room to find a very abrubt note demanding payment before 8.30pm. The place generally has a weird, empty vibe about it, mainly due to the grumpy old dragon who works there. She treated us like kids. They were even funny about us leaving our bags there for the day after checking out and before leaving SP later that evening. And because the reception closed at 10pm, they made us wait out on the street with all out bags at 9.55pm for our friends to come by and pick us up. Charming! Lucky it's a safe area.

Liked: The staff were very friendly, the location is good, the price is quite cheap.

Disliked: Kitchen is not very clean, nothing organised by the owners for people who stay there. floors were cleaned but only in visable areas, behind bed was dirty. No glass in the windows, no curtains. Walls are dirty because the ceiling fans are never cleaned and dust is thrown everywhere. After 10 pm you feel uncomfortable to talk in the garden area. Only met 1 guy working there who speaks English on the last day, had never seen him before then so to get any information was impossible.

Liked: This hostel is located in a pretty good area - easy to walk to shops on Oscar Freire and also pretty easy access to the metro and Avenida Paulista.

Disliked: Most hostels serve breakfast but this one did not and cost the same amount as other hostels. Also, if you want a bed for two people, be aware that they push together two single beds.

Liked: Location, price

Disliked: There was barely ever anyone behind the reception and no way to contact the staff. I had to ring the bell for 5 minutes to get into the gate. Once youve checked in, you get a key to the gate and outside door and thats pretty much the last time you ll see any of the staff. Also, theres no breakfast available.

Liked: I liked the location and price.

Disliked: The administration seemed very disorganised, maybe because we don't speak portugese and the people on duty when we checked in didn't speak much english.

Liked: The place was fine, but not great. Staff only spoke Portuguese, which made things a bit challenging, but the owner seemed to sincerely care about the quality of service, though we could not communicate. The location is great, in nice neighborhood, close to everything in Jardim Paulista, also felt very safe. Mostly older crowd there, some staying more long term so not a place to meet people. Kitchen area was fine and had what you needed. The rooms themselves were small, but fine. Clean, but fine. Everything was fine, but for $50 US I think you can do better...

Liked: the pleace is safe and clean only thing is that they don`t speak english in a hostel but anyway they were very kind and they `ve tried to help :)

Liked: Nice friendly place, simple but for this price you can't expect more in Sao Paulo. However, the one-bed room is quite dark and damp and the bathroom door doesn't prevent from some odors .. :-) Otherwise, a great location, close to many cafés, bars, restaurant and the lively Pinheiros neighborhood.

Disliked: Customer left no negative feedback.
