Liked: Very helpful staff, clean rooms, wi-fi connection if you have a computer, is free.

Disliked: There was no breakfast which we expected as all other hostels included it in the price and it was not mentioned.

Liked: Great location near posh area, very helpful happy staff

Disliked: Room in need of decoration, windows didnñt close so concerned about security, though didn´t have any issues with theft. Bathroom small and combined shower and loo.

Liked: Nice little place in a good location that felt pretty safe. Good sized dorms and clean rooms. Small kitchen but fine for what we needed. Not much of an atmosphere, would be difficult to meet other people if travelling on your own. The lady who runs the hostel speaks no English which is a bit tricky if you don´t speak Portuguese. Also I would recommend that other travellers do NOT get their laundry done here - the hostel washed and ironed a pile of our clothes and tried to charge us 80 reals! This was about three times more than we had paid anywhere else in South America.

Liked: I liked the location and the atmosphere.I didn't like the fact they said they will be there at 08:00 (they don't have 24 hr. reception) but only arrived at 10:30. We were lucky that one of the guests went out early and opened the door to us, so we only waited in the rain for 30 min.

Liked: Great localization, the hostel is very nice and you can know the city walking, because the district is very safe.I was Paulista Avenue walking. The staff is very good too.

Liked: Price was good and the staff super friendly and although we spoke no portuguese they were always helpful and happy. I would recommend this hostel if you are interested in saving money but dont mind being a little out of the way in comparison to the centre of town. Although metro system is easy to use to get around.
