 family atmosphere, calm and respectful but friendly co-residents, delicious breakfast, dedicated hard working staff, fresh towels every day, beds made every day, room cleaned every day, free internet service, dvds available to watch along with satellite tv... list goes on!

This guest house was fun to stay at! It was pricey but very comfortable and the owner and staff are really nice and accomodating!

tthe hostel is beautiful and the ambiance is friendly. You can sleep very well beacause the neighborhood is not noisy at all. You can also go out late withaut problems, it's a safe place.

Hostel owner Russell was very friendly and helpful with tips on the area, often joining us during brekfast and various times for a chat. He totally looks after his guests. The staff keep the place ticking along smoothly, the whole place is very clean and neat - homely. it also seems to attract very amiable guests - everyone I met there was sweet. This is not a party house (thank god) but its definately a place you can sit back casually and chat with the others with a couple of drinks. Thanks Russell and Keiko! Cheers, Mick.

They are really nice people. It's a nice place to stay, super good breakfast, goos size of rooms, a safe neighbourhood, a safe place to live your stuffs, and a good atmosphere for meeting people.
They helped me a lot with some troubles i had there. They were to nice;*.

The owners were helpful and the breakfast offered was really good. The guesthouse was very clean and was in a pretty good location in Barra. The only down side to this guesthouse was the old fasion shower where the water is either too warm or too cold. But apart from that, our stay was really enjoyable.

Excellent hostel, very clean and well-managed. Good location in Barra (the neighborhood of choice for your stay in Salvador) right next to the shopping center and nightlife. Nice breakfast, they even cook pancakes for you according to your liking. But the most outstanding aspect though are the owners, Russell and Keiko, who went to great lengths to make our stay comfortable, much more than we could have ever expected or than I have ever experienced at a hostel.

the owner keyko is especially nice and helpful and cares like a mother for everybody / service is spotless perfect / breakfast is yummie / rooms are the best I have seen in hostels worldwide yet.
Just how it shoould be!

This hostel was fantastic, a real home from home. The breakfasts were superb and our room was very large with added bonus of Sky TV and air con. Excellent value for money and really friendly hosts.

El lugar fue excelente y muy bien ubicado. La gente que nos atendió fue muy amable, nos asesoraron sobre los lugares a los que debíamos ir y sobre las actividades que se llevaban a cabo en Salvador durante los días que nos hospedamos. Muchas gracias por todas las atenciones.

The owner, Keyko, gives this hostel a very personal touch, she is pleasant patient and helpful in relation to every matter brought to her. The breakfast is the nicest I´ve had in a hostel that is considered ¨budget¨ and eveving tea is provide, which is the nicest touch of all.

Really helpful owner who did all she could to help with travel plans, and local advice. Great location near to local bars, restaurants and beaches. Great breakfast. Would recommend to others.

Keiko and Russell were fantastic !!! They were very helpful with the things to do around Salvador. Very good location, close to the beach and restaurants. Highly recomended !!!

Russell and Keyko were great! They were always very accommodating and their advice was gold! Located just a few minutes walk from two beaches and you can easily take a cab or bus to the Pelorinho. Breakfast is great, and make sure you order the Moqueca at the Chico Bar just down the street. Highly recommended!
