Liked: It was a great place to meet people - I think we were drawn together by the total disorganisation & confusion created by the staff!

Disliked: Waited for ever to check in because the owner could not workout his booking system, luckily I was the only one who didn't need to change rooms! On my second day mattresses were put on my floor so small dorms turned into big ones & as bathrooms were broken there ended up being 15 of us sharing one toilet & shower! So a long wait when you need to go plus no paper! They said they had booked a boat for me ( grudgingly!) but then it wasn't booked. I would have rather they said they couldn't do t & I would have done it myself! We did the Tuesday night bar crawl from band to band - Camilla was amazing but everyone else was rubbish! Why would you take 30 gingos to a heaving place & then constantly move them! we lost people on the way & people got stuck in Pelo without knowing how to get home! I was waiting for a friend & was told to go to the next place & the staff would get my friend - 10 minutes later I asked were he was & they didn't event know who I was talking about!

Liked: The staff was really nice, Nick and Russel are very willing to help. The breakfast is nice, especially the pancakes with fruit! The area feels safe and they gave great information about where it is safe to go in Pelourinho and Barra. The atmosphere is relaxed.

Disliked: There should be more staff during the day, so it's not necessary to carry around the keys all the time (to big of chance of loosing them) and it's more controlled who goes in and out of the hostel.

Liked: Pretty good hostel. Fun, good place to meet people. Free drink at 7pm was a great meeting time. Good wifi. Clean and about as safe as Salvador gets.

Disliked: The owner acted like he was doing you a huge favor everytime you ask him for something. Most functions on the computers in the lobby are blocked so you can't upload photos from them.

Liked: The staff was really friendly and helpful. Adams gave us really good tips about Salvador. The breakfast was great with fresh fruits, juices and warm cake. Good value for money

Liked: Russell the owner of this location is a very gregarious fellow who actually makes you your free caipirinas that you get every day you are at the hostel. They make excellent cheap dinners. We had the fejoada and the chicken curry and it was great and the proportions were very large if we stayed long I would have totally gained weight. Breakfast was also great there were several fruits, cakes, breads, and I think the staff was also making eggs (though I could not eat any more than what was offered). The rooms are clean, beds are comfy, and the atmosphere is very relaxed. The hostel is also within a 5 min walk from the beach which is nice. There are also six bars within a one min walk from the hostel.

Disliked: They take a really long time to clean your room and you cannot check in even a minute before 2:00. I know that they are thorough but sometimes you forget something in your room and we felt bad for going into our room several hours after leaving.

Liked: Great place to meet people and really clean and homely environment. Adam and Natasha were great help, always answering all my little questions. One free caipirinha each night too. Really nice place to relax and enjoy Salvador´s flare and culture.

Liked: I like that the place was clean, the staff friendly and willing to help you out (giving you directions, recomendations, etc.) and that the place was located in a nice and safe area of the city (close to the beach, to nice bars, supermarket, bus stop)....

Disliked: Uhm...nothing really! Maybe only that it would get a bit noisy at night since my room as on the first floor close to the reception, only that if anything!

Liked: Beautiful hostel, comfortable rooms with A/C and nice big bathrooms. Super helpful staff & owner - when the A/C in our room didnt work properly one night, we were moved to another room & then it was fixed immediately the next day. Good breakfast included. In a safe location in Barra with bars & restuarants close by & only a few blocks from a bus stop into the historic center. Highly recommended. Russell & Snoopy are super hosts! :)

Liked: Very attentive and nice owner as well as staff who create a very sociable atmosphere getting people together for a free caipirinha every night- very good information about what to do in town- very good breakfast with pancakes and eggs- very thoughtfully equipped rooms with air-conditioning, a plug and lamp for everybody- one of the best or even the best hostel I´ve stayed in in South America

Liked: Very clean and nice hostel. Everything's seem to be very new. Big rooms, private bathroom, free towels, steady beds. Great breakfast including pancake/eggs.Highly recommended.

Liked: They were very prepared with information on things to do in Salvador and surrounds. They were also willing to call for you to check things were open or to book a ticket (Bahia Music) or get you a taxi. Unfortunately they had an issue with Bbdbugs which admittedly was taken care of promptly, it was more that I was not offered an apology when they found a massive infestation in the room. Otherwise, I really enjoyed my stay. Thank you.
