We have been running our hostel Pais Tropical since June 2011.

CARNAVAL 16-22 february 2012
During carnival we are offering 7 days pack with breakfast included on the price. During this period we have rooms for 2,4,5 and 6 persons, some of the rooms have private bathrooms and the dorms has bathroom outside the rooms. Some of our rooms can be booked for groups, we also have shared rooms. To make your reservation we need a downpayment of the 50% of the total amount of the pack, when this deposit has been made, you will receive the confirmation of your reservation vía e-mail. The rest of the payment will be made at the time of chek in.

Located in the heart of the old town of Salvador, you can experience innumerable festivals including the famous carnival, right from our doorstep or by watching form the overlooking windows. The quarter's buildings dating over three centuries back, will reveal many signs of the country's colonial past, which has been listed as the world's heritage by the UNESCO.
Salvador is alive all year round, and our hostel is a great base for daily tours around the city. It's easy to access the finest beaches, railway station or the airport form a nearby bus stop. The 2014 World Cup stadium is only a 20 minute walk away.

Our rooms vary in size so you can choose your most suitable standard from a 4-bed dorm to a twin room.
The 4-bed dorms with bunk beds and lockers, overlook the central square 'Largo do Pelorinho.' Full-fitted bathrooms are shared between two dorms.
For added comfort and privacy we have spacious rooms with en suite bathrooms.

Location Information

We are situated in one of the city's most famous squares in the Pelorinho district. The neighbouring buildings are home to many landmark sights, including the Museum of Salvador, a renowned academy of capoeira, as well as Brazil's well-known writer's home and foundation.
