Liked: Stephanie and Natalie are really helpful and friendly with things to do in Salvador. The breakfast was really good - fresh fruit, cereal and cake! We had a double room and the room was serviced every day which kept it really clean.

Disliked: I think our double bed may be past its prime.

Liked: We travelled and stayed in hostels/pousadas for 5 weeks all around SA. This place was our favorite. It was really safe, quiet and clean. The room had everything we needed, the owners were right there to help you out. Every morning Stephanie would talk to us about our plans for the day and would give really great suggestions that you could only get from a local! I would deffinitly recommend and stay in this place again!

Liked: the place is really nice, peaceful and confortable, also very clean. The location is good, just five minute walking from the beach and in a safe area but first of all the staff is very kind and helpful... you can breathe a familiat atmosphere. I spent a really good time!!!!!

Liked: We had a wonderful stay at La villa Francaise guesthouse the owner Stephanie was extremley helpful. The location was great close to the beach and within an easy bus ride of the centre of Salvador.

Liked: Very good and clean hostel in a good and safe quarter of Salvador (Barra). I especially liked my clean room, the friendliness of the staff and the price for a single room ensuite.

Liked: The staff was very helpful ad friendly. This made for a pleasant stay. Internet was included, which is always a perk. Overall, I was happy with my experience and thought that it was a good stay for the price.

Liked: Very friendly and helpful owners who appear to always be present - so different from many other hostels where the ´´owners´´ are just a rumour. Good breakfast and free internet within reason. Just right.

Liked: Most of all I liked the friendliness of the two delightful owners. They were incredibly informative, helpful and considerate. Good rooms, excellent breakfast and good location. Without hesitation I would recommend this guesthouse to my fellow travellers. VIVA LA VILLA FRANCAISE!!

Liked: Stephanie and Nathalie made this such a wonderful stay for us. We have travelled around Brazil for 6wks and this was by far the nicest, cleanest and best value for money that we found. We will definately go back when we return to Salvador. First class breakfasts as well.
