Vila CasaNova is a small guest house with Bed and Breakfast amenities in the cozy atmosphere of a quite residential street in Santa Teresa, a historical neighborhood of Rio de Janeiro.
At reasonable rates, similar to a hostel, we offer a more personal choice of lodging in private rooms.
The house is a charming four-floor rustic eighties construction where bricks and concrete contrast with nature and a wide view of the green and the city center.
The rooms are in a tranquil and private ambient and either have a ceiling fan or an air conditioning and some have a balcony overlooking a green valley, the village houses and the city center. The accommodations may single, double or twin.
The lounge area is surrounded by huge windows looking onto a stunning view. It is a bright and fresh ambient with a stereo, computer, books and games at your disposal. If you bring your notebook you can use for free our Wifi internet conection.
We are conveniently close to the center and Lapa, at only 10 minutes from Corcovado, in a place from where you can easily reach the Copacabana and Ipanema beaches, the Sugar Loaf, the Maracanã football stadium and the Sambódromo where the great carnival parade happens.
Our B & B is also only a walking distance from the local commerce with its shops, restaurants, cafes and a cool bohemian nightlife.

- For long stays or far ahead reservation, we kindly ask a 50% advanced deposit of the rest of the balance due.
- The payment of the balance due should be done at check in time in cash (we don’t work with credit cards) in Brazilian Reais, US Dollars, Euros or GB pounds.
New Year & Carnival:
* New Year 2009: Minimum Stay of 4 nights in the period within Dec 28 and Jan 02, with advanced deposit of 50% of the rest of the balance due via Money Gram money transfer services with no reimbursement in case of cancellation.
* Carnival 2009: Minimum Stay of 6 nights in the period within February 17 and 25, with advanced deposit of 50% of the rest of the balance due via Money Gram money transfer services with no reimbursement in case of cancellation.
