Customer reviewthe patio What I DIDN'T like: Their price system - indeed 25R sounds like a good value, as they charge you in bits and pieces additionally as : - 5R per hour for the Internet (rediculous in a huge city like this) plus no WIFI - you have to buy drinks in the hostel, you're not allowed to bring your own - the breakfast is coffee, white toast bread, butter and a sort of jam - that's it! Brazil famous for the big breakfasts this was by far the worst or the most simple breakfast ever had during our whole stay (2.5months) in Brazil. - they even ask you 1 or 2 R for filtered tap water - give me a break! So, it's a ok place to arrive in this huge city, but you better look quickly for a place with more atmosphere and rather pay bit more but you get also much more! |

Colin SneadPlace was cool, location good if you want to be in Lapa!! But Lapa as a whole is a pretty dirty, seedy, stinking place. Don't let that put you off the hosel though, staff were friendly, although not locals (from Argentina actually) and were not to hot on what's ging down in the local area. Only recomendation of improvement would be a bin next to the breakfast tables as I had no where to put my used tea bags!!!! |

Tina JadavWe liked this place so much we stayed another extra week. The staff were extremely friendly and most helpful. You can chill out or rev it up. We like the bean bags. We like the breakfast. Location is wicked it turns into a party as soon as you walk out onto the street. All in all jolly good hostel. |

Cassie Mullendorethe staff is absolutely amazing, they are all a big help whenever you need it. The only downside is that you have to pay extra for everything (towel, internet, orange juice at breakfast) but since it is already cheap just be prepared to have a bit of extra cash. definitely worth staying at! |

Anne SjölinWhen you come to a city like Rio that is not very safe, what you look for is a friendly face that can guide you and offer you advice. Jorge is just that kind of person. He was an excellent, kind funny, experienced host who made us feel very welcome and at home. He helped us much much more than he needed to. The hostel is nice and clean and have really nice common areas. We would definitely come back!! / Anne and Magnus from Sweden |
