 It has a pool and is very close to Ipanema beach. Also, the hostel is in a safe location.

The staff are amazingly friendly... the bar is a great place to meet people... the location is perfect... and the tours are amazing!!!

i stayed here on and off for over 20 mights during my time in rio, which says it all really. a great hostel, excellent vibe, staff are top, especially Fred! could work on keeping some of the bathrooms clean. it isn't the cheapest place to say, but worth it! safe and secure. and excellent location! Your sure to meet some friends some cool people!!!l

The location was great, there were many activities offered, the rooms were clean, and the hostel attracts great people. The only thing I would recommend is fixing up the washrooms.

The hostel does have a bit of character - the building is nice and it`s in a ritzy part of Rio. But it did not have a great party vibe or happy atmosphere! The bar closes at 10pm, because it is a residental area, and the majority of the staff are unapproachable, unfriendly and appear to be loosing the will to live....
If you are looking for value for money - THIS IS NOT THE HOSTEL FOR YOU. Nothing (apart from breakfast) is free, they charge for internet and whatever else they can wack on your bill when you leave!
On a positive note they do have a great range of activites you can book through them (eg hang-gliding, favela parties etc).

Really liked the location, staff and chill out area. Really did not like the rooms which felt like prison cells and the bathroom - which was dirty most of the time and not in good condition.

The location is perfect. As a girl alone I felt safe, and met lots of people. This hostel was heaps of fun and I even went back again after going away for a few days. It isn't the cleanest place, but its not because they don't clean, but I think because everyone is constantly making a mess : ) Its just a fun kinda place to stay and party and meet people.

All the staff are very kind and helpful. I really feel safe also with the people around. The hostel´s decoration and garden is lovely, the facilities are clean. They responded to my e-mail straight away and gave me lot´t of information how to arrive. The Receptionist know the people by names and it gives it a very family-like ambient.
