Liked: Runs out of water in the bathroom every night. No aircon so tis quite sticky in hot temps. Beds are 3 high, so make sure ur not scared of heights.

Liked: I liked the location and the staff. Our room was right next to the bar area, where breakfast is served so was extremely noisy pretty much all the time as the windows had to be kept open to get air in. This also caused a problem with mosquitoes. There is no tv room, or area for chilling out which is a shame for when it is raining. There is a tv at the bar, but we were not allowed to watch it as the barman wanted to listen to music.

Liked: very hot in the rooms without air-con. not the cleanest hostel and a severe lack of bathrooms inside the main building. but good pool and bar area and cool place to hang out and meet people. also right in heart of ipanema.

Liked: liked the location, the staff was really bad and the management was going bad - it resulted in many people not having where to stay though they booked and paid for the nights!!!

Liked: Great place to meet people, really social. The staff will go out of their way to help you. Only down side is its a bit old so bathrooms are not in the rooms and the rooms are a bit dirty.

Liked: The atmosphere is awesome, everybody is friendly and the hostel is located at the best place it could be in Rio. All the staff was very helpful in any of the requests we had to make.

Liked: Fab location minutes from the beach and in really safe part of town. Really clean and great staff. only bad thing is that tends to be an older crowd and pretty quiet and not much going on at the hostel at night but the hostel do arrange nights out and they were so much fun. Loved the rooms inside the main house.

Liked: i stayed here on and off for over 20 mights during my time in rio, which says it all really. a great hostel, excellent vibe, staff are top, especially Fred! could work on keeping some of the bathrooms clean. it isn't the cheapest place to say, but worth it! safe and secure. and excellent location! Your sure to meet some friends some cool people!!!l

Liked: The location was great, there were many activities offered, the rooms were clean, and the hostel attracts great people. The only thing I would recommend is fixing up the washrooms.
