 Fausto the owner and all the other staff are really wonderfull and extremly friendly and helpfull. We have had such a graet time here and have seen and experienced some of the best Brazilian culture and sightseeing with the hostel. What is really fanatastic about this hostel is it's very personal and you really feel like part of the family. They even take you out in the evenings to all the best blocko's and samba bars around Rio etc... WE HAVE LOVED IT HERE.

A great chilled out atmosphere in the hostel. The host was very friendly and hospitable. He was good enough to drive us around some tourist attractions and brought us to a samba party - a highlight of our stay in Rio! I'd recommend this hostel to anyone.

it is like staying in your own house! super comfortable and just the right amount of guests (max 12) so it is very homely and u get to meet everyone easily.

Faustus, the owner, was very informative and helpful with local information. The breakfast included in the morning was one of the best Ive seen in a hostel. The dorms are clean and have air conditioning, which was essential in the Rio heat. Overall, the atmosphere was welcoming and I would definitely stay here again...the neighborhood is quiet, with small local restaurants within walking distance and the samba clubs of Lapa also a short distance...a nice refuge away from the tourist traps down at the beaches.
