Liked: Excellent location! Convenient to the metro, close to Flamingo park and the beach there. Easy metro ride or walk to Central and BotofogoBay. Easy metro ride to Copacobana beach. Pretty good breakfast too.

Liked: it was very clean. the breakfast was very good and the room was just like in the picture. it was close to Lapa and the city center but my next time in Rio í´ll stay closer to the beach.

Disliked: I could not sleep during my stay due to the constant noise from outside and inside the hotel.

Liked: Location is good, close to subway, supermarket, bus stops! Room is ok and quiet. There are many shared toilets and they are clean! Breakfast is good with fruit , cereal, juice, different kind of bread, coffee! Kitchen is big and well equipped too! wifi is good and well received in the room. Staff are friendly and they are able to give us some travel tips!

Liked: perfect location near to Gloria Metro Station, bright spacious reception, comfortable beds and clean bathroom, good breakfast and quiet no party atmosphere in the hostel

Disliked: only gripe caused due to noise in the hostel by wooden floors and high ceilings, besides great great place to stay in Rio

Liked: I really enjoyed my time here, the staff is very helfull, you can walk to flamengo beach and lapa, to capacabana it's really easy to take the metro. it's not a party-place, but if you like to got aut and have tranqulity back in the hostel, thats the place.

Liked: Clean. Good showers. Great breakfast.

Disliked: Rooms and corridors are high and since floors are wood and walls made of stone, every single sound multiplies itself and bounces up and down in the corridors and staircases. Reception, breakfast area and common area are right below rooms, so all the noise gets to at least some of the rooms. Also one idiot nightwatchman chatted loudly with his drunken friend until three o´clock in the morning in the reception. Not too nice from a guy who works there. So overall, if you wish to stay in a peaceful place and get some good nights sleep, stay somewhere else. Kariok is too noisy for that.

Liked: Great breakfast. Good showers. Fridges in the rooms. Close to Gloria tube station which is handy for getting into the city centre or out to Copacababa or Ipanema. Also close to Lapa which has great nightlife but we were warned to take a taxi at night rather than walk due to robberies around Lapa. However we felt safe in the area around the hostel.

Disliked: Not a great neighbourhood for travellers as not much around. Not actually located in Santa Teresa (as described online). Santa Teresa is a 25min walk up a very steep hill. Also there was no aircon in our room and the fan was very noisy.

Liked: Incredibly clean rooms, stylish reception area, good breakfast on offer nad helpful multilingual staff. The hostel is located in a safe area close to Gloria metro station, a short walk from the bars and restaurants of both Lapa and Sta Teresa.

Disliked: There were no mirrors in the room but i think that was because the property is recently refurbished. There is no sign outside the hostel so you have to look out for it.
