Customer reviewIn Botafogo, a suburb - not fully in the action, but able to get metro and buses easily. Located in between beaches (Copacobana/Ipenema) and the centre which is quite good. Bathrooms old fashioned. Bedrooms quite cramped, 3 bunk beds x2. Good breakfast - toasted cheese & ham, juice, cake, french bread Bar and nightly dinner options Offers full range of tours Overall good option if you dont need luxury |

Joy St LouisGood location with views of Corcovado and Sugar Loaf. However you arrive (bus or air) , there is free pick up, free breakfast (they have eggs!) and a free caipirinha your first night! The staff is friendly and fluent in Spanish, Portuguese and English. The hostel is on a major bus route but there is no vehicular noise. The hostel has a nice chill vibe which gets a little samba funk-y later on. It's the hostel to hang out at or get a recommendation for night time activities around town. |

Customer reviewWe have been to El Misti and Pousada Aquario, not to Pousada Rio de Janeiro. El Misti has a very good breakfast and offers you a very good dinner for an acceptable price. |

Customer reviewGreat staff and facilities on offer. Cheap tours made the sights good value for money - and close to sugar loaf. Communal areas were great and very chilled out and good kitchen to use. Only bad thing is there is always a wait for a bathroom! |
