We are the third hostel in Rio de Janeiro; with much more fun, a lot of parties, BBQs and always the best location!!
We assemble the hostel as if it were for ourselves: little luxury, great atmosphere and comfort. We have comfortable and strong beds, showers with loads of hot water and security lockers for each guest. Sofas, TV, DVD, books, cushions, music, hammocks… (Beware: you cannot remain here forever!)
We have an indoor pub, to get started every night before going out, or just to enjoy it until the neighbors throw us something through the window!
Che Lagarto budget is our best option for you if what you are looking in Rio de Janeiro is price, location, fun and comfort!
Our main characteristic is the atmosphere of the place: people, party, going out and beers.
Our hostel’s location it’s definitely the best one in Rio de Janeiro! We believe that a hostel is not a place just to sleep, but somewhere to live, learn, share, enjoy and chill out!

During NEW YEAR and CARNAVAL we have a special package with minimum stay!!!

Even if the booking engine allows you to book less nights for the Carnival and New Year's Packages, your booking will not be valid if you do not book the whole package. (which means you will lose the deposit paid).

Carnaval Package 2008 (6 nights - 19/02-24/02)
Dorms - R$870
Bookings for New Year or Carnival must be for the whole period of the package, any booking that breaks into the New Year's or Carnival dates will be automatically cancelled and the deposit amount not refunded and we are going to contact you about the payment from the whole package.
