Liked: 6 bed dorms are nice - comfortable 2-tier bunk beds, clean and spacious. Plenty of bathrooms. Nice bar - indoor and outdoor. Friendly and helpful staff.

Disliked: 9 bed dorms are cramped, with wobbly 3-tier bunk beds. We had to use lockers on another floor as there were none on our floor. However, hostel is great apart from this so well worth paying the extra for a 6-bed dorm. Kitchen could do with a few more pans.

Liked: Hostel is clean, location is great and so is the breakfast.

Liked: security lockers, plug socket by each bed, good location. Staff are helpful, wifi works well.

Disliked: because the bunk beds are three bunks high they fit 9 people into what would normally be a 6 bed dorm. We were there in low season so dorm was never full but it was cramped enough with just 5 of us in. Also there are two computers but only the keyboard for one works so if you don't have your own laptop you could be waiting a while. We were there for a few days of bad weather and there was no proper table to sit n eat at because the only ones are outside. Ended up sat on floor in tv room to eat.

Liked: what a gem! only a block from the beach. very clean and comfortable. loads of bathrooms with hot water, we never had to wait. its quiet in the rooms, but has a cute bar and tv room and outside area. great wifi!! and there are powerpoints next to each bed. the staff are really helpful with great english.

Disliked: the nearest tube stop is about 25 min walk away. but you can get a bus easily.

Liked: LOVE the showers, panini's for breakfast was also a winner. Your paying for the location which is excellent.

Disliked: 9 bed dorms are small for the amount of people in them. Unnecessarily loud music played all day in the bar was a bit much when u just wanted to chill out in the afternoon.

Liked: The staff are exceptional. All of them. Very friendly, supercool, laid back. They make the place. The location is great too - right near the beach. A great base for enjoying Rio's nightlife (downstairs bar).

Disliked: Nothing.

Liked: Excellent location. One block from the beach front and a block from the main road with shops, bars, restaurants ATMs etc. There is a small army of cleaners who vigilantly scrub and wash the entire place almost constantly. It's very clean. Facilities -'showers and toilets are sufficient. Excellent free WIFI. Ample free breakfasts Ie fruit, coffee, juice and breads, ham & cheese.

Disliked: nothing

Liked: The outside area with hammocks, great TV room with bean bags to chill, clean kitchen with lots of cooking equipment for anyone to use, AMAZING HOT POWERFUL SHOWERS! Great Caprihinas made by Nino at the bar. Really fun friendly and helpful staff. The cleaners sambaing as they worked! Great location... This hostel was the best I stayed in in South America!

Disliked: The three tier bunk beds - I was fine on the bottom but I'd hate to be on the top! Also the rooms were small so there isn't really anywhere to put bags etc...

Liked: This was hands down, the best hostel we stayed in on our trip. Since it was my frist time hostelling I don't have much to compare it to but I can honestly say that it went above and beyond all of my expectations! Everyone was so friendly and helpful, the location was unbeatable and the accomodations were great! I would recommend this hostel to everyone that travels to Rio!!

Liked: This hostel is an amazing place for socialising and meeting other travellers, there is a large indoor/outdoor common area with bar and the friendly and helpful staff help to create a great atmosphere. Respect to Nino (lime chopping champion) and the boys

Liked: This is the best hostel I've stayed at in south america. The hostel is in a great location close to ipanema and copacabana beaches and the breakfast is great and runs to 11 which is good after a night out. The best thing are the staff who are very friendly and helpful, especially jordana and nino. The bar and common area are great to meet other travelers plus they play cool music. Overall I would definitely recommend this hostel.

Liked: Very nice and helpful staf. Very close to beautiful Ipenema/Leblon beach. Close to shopping. A bit to noisy ( to many sounds). Not much space in the dorms.

Liked: a dorm for 9 people is all good, even the bunkbeds 3 up high are not a problem. The thing is that there is no room for the backpacks!9 big backpacks lying around on the floor, with no place to move!
