Liked: Very cozy hostel in a perfect location! Friendly staff, nice breakfast, Really relaxed atmosphere...will return to this hostel!

Disliked: There was a problem on the reserve that the 1.day we needed To stay in a room with bunk beds though we had reserved a couple room.. But as we were mostly just looking for a bed it was still cool..

Liked: Breakfast was quite good

Disliked: One member of staff acting like he was stoned. Asked him to book one of the tours they offered for the next day. He said he'd sort it. Went down the next morning and people at reception hadn't done anything and didn't even know about it so I couldn't get it in time. It had been my last day, pretty angry. Told it was a party hostel but when I turned up I was the only one in my dorm room and all the other guests were couples. Bathrooms really far away. Just generally a very disorganised hostel

Liked: Close to the beach, nothing more!

Disliked: Terrible hostel. Empty and hot, no one was staying there when we were there, staff member at check in was friendly enough (although the small desk had no maps of the town to provide), but the guy at check out was rude and completely unreasonable. Demanded more money than was due and threatened to call the police when we attempted to explain or discuss. Owners family is often consuming the small social space. Have stayed at many hostels around the world, this has got to be one of the worst.

Liked: Location

Disliked: Apart from good location, hostel was a complete dump, several of the staff pretty rude, room was horrible and bathrooms too, looked like place hadn't been Refurbished or decorated in decades.

Liked: Great location Only two blocks away from the beach. In a 'safe' area. Very near main street Nossa Senhora. Very helpful and friendly staff who speak wonderful English.

Disliked: The rooms are quite old. My shower didnt have hot water. My lower floor room was very damn and smelt strongly of mould. You need to hire or bring bed linens. They also didnt have my reservation for the first night.

Liked: Hostel in good location, however there is no air-conditioning. Some of the staff are excellent, others are rude and unhelpful. Only one computer. Good social atmosphere - only don't get the room next to the courtyard.

Liked: Great place to stay. The only problem was a few bed bugs but the guys sorted the problem out as soon as we said and there were no problems after. Tom and Ricardo are great fun and organise loads of cool nights out. I would stay again. Great meeting area pretty clean.

Liked: Hostel was well located. Very safe and secure. I stayed in a private room, had a double bed and a set of bunk beds. I am not sure about the dormatories but many people staying there seemed happy. My room was located 2 metres from the main outside meeting area with table and chairs for people. I stayed friday night so of course would be noisy but was only too eleven or so and then people went out. The main problem was the mattresses in all the beds in the room. They visually were not clean and smelt very badly. The pillows also smelt so bad. There was no sheets just a blanket which I guessed had been changed. The private bathroom was clean but smelt badly of bad water and sewerage when toilet or shower was used, door was broken so this couldn't be reduced. I paid 100 reals for one night which for 50 more I could get a good hotel.People very friendly though in hostel, especially the girl at the desk was an angel and very helpful as was the lady serving breakfast. Breakfast was a good standard. Security very good for people entering, although when leaving luggage during the day after checking out its in an unlocked room but there is someone watching all day.Overall I wouldn't recommend the private room but would recommend the hostel, especially for somewhere friendly, secure, with internet, breakfast, good place to meet people and 2 min walk to copacobana beach.
