If you find a better offer than ours during carnival we beat it! Except for the illegal hostels! It means that the hostels's name should be on Riotur Local Guide. And we do not beat Eco Hostel, because it is also the same group.

Carnival package (minimum of 7 nights) = February 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21 and 22. Only booking with these dates will be accepted (otherwise will be cancelled).

***Carnival bookings, New Year’s Eve and Rock in Rio information***
Mandatory: seven (7) nights for Carnival, (4) nights for New Years Eve and (3) nights per weekend for Rock in Rio.
If you are booking a package, the hostel requests 50%l payment 2 days after making the online booking to secure your bed / beds. After making the booking for New Years, Carnival or Rock in Rio you should send a western union and send us back a 10 digit track number in order to find your deposit and confirm your booking. After 5 days of your booking package for New Year’s Eve, Carnival and Rock in Rio you already agree in charge your credit card in 100% of your balance due plus a tax of R$ 70.00. Please send us your credit card security number in order to confirm your booking.

There are no refunds in case of cancellation of this money paid in advance.
For regular bookings (except NYE, Christmas, Carnival and Rock in Rio) if you do not cancel your reservation prior to 72 hours your first night will be charged to your credit card.

Accommodation Information

We have 20 showers (so no waiting) and 80 beds. Air conditioning runs 12 hours a day every day of the week and in private rooms is 24/7. All the rooms on the second floor are private or have their own toilet (en-suite).

We use 2 tier bunk-beds with the best mattresses (renovated November 2011) even better than many 3 stars hotel. No bed bugs at all! The rooms and bathrooms are cleaned daily and the sheets are clean and fresh.

The biggest dorm is 8 beds and all our rooms have air conditioning, so bring a jumper! Seriously! From 10 pm to 10am maybe you can freeze.

Special rates lower than R$ 30,00 do not include breakfast. Please be aware, if you decide to have it during your stay it is just 10 Reais on top of your rates. Cheap prices for sure!

This is a family run hostel, so there is a strict no-drugs policy.

Location Information

We are located just off the main road in front of Botafogo Beach and we are less than 30 metres from Botafogo Metro station. We are one metro stop away from Copacabana Beach and three stops from Ipanema (about a 15 minute ride).

The hostel has a centralised location where you can reach Sugar Loaf, Santa Teresa, downtown Rio, the Botanical Gardens, Flamengo, and Leblon within 20 minutes by bus or metro. The buses stop outside of the Botafogo Shopping Mall, which is one block from the hostel, and from there you can get everywhere in the city.

We challenge you to have a better location than ours if you want to stay in a safe area.
