Our bar shuts when the last customer leaves not at 10pm ! Come on, you are on vacation and needs some fun right? If you intend to sleep before noon, it is better to book at our 20 beds (w/fan) / 16 beds (w-a/c) dorm or at any private ensuite (ALL with a/c).

Cheap means dirty? Of course not !!! Fleas, coackroches, mites, bed bugs and ants? No, thanks! We work with the best Co. in Rio that fumegates the place monthly. GUARANTEED no trouble with insects/bugs here even though this winter (in Brazil of course!) is being hot!

The best location for the best price...next door to the metro (30 meters), in the block of the beach, 1 metro station from Copacabana, 1 block from the Mall, Plenty of reasonably priced tours. There is a good/safe/fast bus from the INTL / NTN airport or Bus Terminal that drops you off 1 block from here for a penny.

17 showers for 70 beds!!!! No queuing. All private rooms and the majority of the dorms (except the budget ones) have air conditioning (highly recommend at summer!).
We use a 2 tier high bunkbed instead of 3 (common in many places in RIo) with VERY good matresses and quality of beds. Linen is fresh and of very good fabric... You will be in a confortable, clean, well located, safe with a fantastic customer service staff.

Everything is working in the hostel from computers to washing machine.

LOCATION: buses in front, beside and in the back for simply EVERYWHERE in Rio de Janeiro. Next door to the subway (metro/tube). RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF EVERYTHING.

CARNIVAL BOOKINGS AND NEW YEARS PLEASE PAY ATTENTION
MANDATORY: Seven (7) Nights for carnival and (5) Nights for New Years.
If you are booking a package, the hostel requests FULL payment 7 days after making the online booking to secure your bed / beds. After making the booking for New Years or Carnival you should send a Western Union - www.westernunion.com and send us back a 10 digit track number in order to find your deposit and confirm your booking. After 7 days of your booking package for NYE and CARNIVAL you already agree in charge your credit card in 100% of your balance due plus a tax of U$ 40,00.
There are no refunds in case of cancellation of this money payed in advance.
For regular bookings (except NYE,X´MAS or Carnival) if you do not cancel your reservation prior to 72 hours your first night will be charged to your credit card.

Accommodation Information

17 showers for 70 beds!!!! No queuing. All private rooms and the majority of the dorms (except the budget ones) have air conditioning (highly recommend at summer!). We turned a/c on at 10pm and turn off 10am except private en-suite rooms which is 24/7 and we say that in advance for you. So it should be a surprise when you check in.

Also we do not think a 3 tier high bunk bed is a good way to serve customers properly and we use regular ones with VERY good mattresses and quality of beds. Linen is fresh and very good fabric... not that thin old ones, maybe dirty. This is a basic accommodation, true, but you will be in a comfortable, clean, well located, safe and good service hostel, but of course not in a 3 or 4 stars hotel.

Oh... it is VERY HARD to find a coach roach here like many complaining in other places even though Rio, due to humidity, weather, seems to be a coach roach maker machine. Bug beds? Impossible! We work with the best Co. in Rio that sanitizes these problems for the most important places/homes.

No bar, noise, pool, music pumping at 1am next door to this dorm...so no worries ok!

STAFF: This is hard to explain. We have, tall, short, fat, thin, blond, brunette... just joking...
And... we have Moe (a kind of young Mom) which usually takes care of you if you get sick, burned or if you want to eat some pop corn during the films sessions, or if you feel cold ask for some tea, or just to put a blanket when you come back late evening and sleep at the sofa after some beers.
We speak English, Deutsch, French, Italian, Spanish & and of course, Portuguese and we are learning Mandarin!!! We also provide Portuguese classes at a reasonable price.
