Customer reviewI booked for one night and stayed for 5. The double room was really nice. Big window with a great view and the hostel is in a really quiet area. Only 5 minutes walk to the beach, staff are helpful, breakfast is good. All in all, great hostel to stay in Copacabana. Ow... the tours they offer are really fantastic. |

Customer reviewI would recommend this hostel to anyone. Great location in the middle of Copacabana. We saw monkeys in the trees from our window. Our room was lovely with big windows and a lot of sunlight. The favela tour was amazing. The staff really looked after us. |

Customer reviewAllegra, the owner, was wonderful, very easy going and went out of her way to help. The other staff; not so much. There is one computer, which is used officially by staff from 9.30 to 12.30pm, but to be honest, they´re on it 24/7 and you can never get on, so you´ll need to go to internet cafes etc to book flights etc. This hostel is also located at the top of a very steep hill so be prepared to walk, and sweat! If you want to meet people, this is not the hostel for you, it´s very quiet and not much ´hostel fun´. |

Customer reviewA bit nervous arriving to RJ, I was suprised by how safe & secure I felt at this hostel. I booked for one and ended up staying for four because the place was that good! Being up in the jungle was so beautiful & lovely for a good night's rest, but then so close to the beach. Staff were super-friendly and helpful with great insider tips and info. Definitely recommend staying at this hostel in Rio! |

Customer reviewThe owner is very strict about no noice after 12 except when she is having a party. While we were there we were constantly being moved from room to room. Despite having booked a private double room, it ended up double booked on occasion and we had no choice but to share a dorm. |

Customer reviewStaying with Alegra was like staying at a friend´s share house. Everyone was really friendly, and we got to know all of the staff. We were lucky enough to arrive for one of the monthly parties, and had a great time. The hill is a bit of a killer (wouldn´t recommend trying to drag a heavy suitcase up it!), but I felt very safe in the hostel, which was important to me in Rio. We also did a couple of the organised activities, and they worked out really well. |
