Security: You do not have to worry about your security staying at Casa CarioKa - situated in a beautiful, quiet street that has a security man working 24 hours, you will feel calm and safe throughout your stay.

The house:
All the rooms in the house have big windows, sunlight and a lot of fresh air where you can see beautiful trees with little monkeys swinging in them.

Subway and bus stops are only one block away to go to famous tourist spots, and excellent tours are on offer showing you Christo, Sugar Loaf, Lapa, Santa Teresa, the city center. We also provide a Favela tour, and exclusive to Casa CarioKa, a real Baile Funk Favela Dance Party.

We can gladly arrange an airport pick-up for your safe arrival to the hostel - R$90

We offer free airport pick-up for guests who book a minimum 7 nights, booked & paid in full at least 3 days before arrival. The balance is to be paid directly to Casa CarioKa – please contact us for full details.

Please note, our airport pick-up service is available between 7h - 21h (irrespective of arrival time), and is not offered during NY & Carnaval periods.


New Year's and Carnival Packgages:

- The NY’s package comprises of five (5) nights starting from the 28th of December, 2009 to the 2nd of January, 2010.

- The Carnaval package comprises of six (6) nights starting from the 11th -16th of February, 2010.

- The HostelBookers reservation engine may allow you to book less nights for New Year’s and Carnaval – please be aware, however, that by making a reservation for any night during the package periods you are automatically required to take the entire packages. If not your reservation will be cancelled and you will lose the deposit paid to HostelBookers.

- A deposit of 50% of the balance is required to confirm your booking – Casa CarioKa will contact you directly with full details upon receiving your reservation.
