Alternatively head for Carioca and take the final stretch.

By tram: The bonde marked 'Paula Mattos' takes 20 minutes from Carioca through Santa Teresa to Largo das Neves where it turns round. Costa Bastos is the first road on your left on the way back. Pull the cord!
