Great place to meet people... great bar, tours, food, jacuzzi... really friendly and safe... had a good party buzz about it. Highly recommend it to anyone visiting Rio

Great location two blocks from Copacabana beach, very friendly staff, excellent excursions - recommend the surf trip and the Favela Funk!, nice rooms, excellent bar and good food. Secure hostel, loved the chill out room and the spa!

The atmosphere in the hostel makes Mellow Yellow a great place to stay. Its in a great location and the staff are wicked!

it was like no place i"d ever visited before, it was beautiful, it had a wide range of high standard facilities... the feel of the hostel was very exciting yet peacfull and friendly.. it was hard to believe it was a hostel it was so stylish and welcoming... better than being at home... i highly recomend it!!!

Internet access is for free. This is one of the best option why travellers should take this hostel.

i stayed at mellow yellow backpackers for the week of carnaval, and the hostel helped me organize trips, reccommend parties and clubs to go to, and made my week the best party week of my entire life. friendly, easygoing, and welcoming. they organized a boat party for all the new arrivals for the week, so it was easy to meet everyone that would be staying for the ensuing week.

location, facilities, the bar and most importantly the people there.

the staff (particularly jimi), the trips/tours, the area of copacabana, all the help/advice/information thats available! -you can find out pretty much anything you need to know.., the bar, the community of it and meeting everyone. if i have any bad points atall it would be thast is sometimes too hot and dosent have aircon in most rooms(if any), but you get used to it.
