If you want to party we have what many regard as the best hostel bar in Brazil, a pool room, BBQ parties twice weekly, music playing throughout the hostel, live music at the bar, and the best trips and parties in Rio at the best prices.

If you’re looking for culture we have Capoeira shows, Samba, Forro & Portuguese lessons (on request), and provide more information on what’s going on in Rio than any other hostel.

If you just want to chill out, relax and save some cash then we offer great value for money. Reservations made more than 2 weeks in advance receive a R$2 discount off the standard price. We provide spacious secure dorms, a fully equipped guest kitchen, a chill out lounge (with massage service,) a spa, a play station room, and a TV room with a selection of over 200 DVD’s!

The Hostel:

The Bamboo bar:

What better place to chill, soak up some of the Brazilian sounds and savor the flavor of one of the choice cuts from our in-house menu (including chili, Indian and Thai curries, lasagna, French crepes and traditional Brazilian cuisine.) The quality is there for all to see. Fantastic chilled-out decor, cheap drinks and great specials, cool tunes playing through the night (including live music and Capoeira shows ;) most important of all, the friendly folk tending to your every need. It’s also air conditioned so you don’t need to suffer on those hot summer nights. Nowhere else in Rio comes close to competing with this!!

Jacuzzi / Spa:

When we say spa – we mean spa!! This one caters for 7. After a leisurely soak in the tub, make use of one of our sun lounger's on the terrace, crack open a beer while the chef gets busy with the BBQ (twice weekly).

Chill out lounge:

Our personal favorite! Having spent just a few days tackling Rio’s nightlife we can assure you this will be a godsend. Chilled out decor and lighting, hammocks & beanbags, all combining to make this the most relaxing experience you’ll have in Rio. (Check out the photo)

TV lounge:

Recover from Rio’s nightlife while taking in a movie from the hostels extensive & varied selection. Over 250 DVDs. We’re also hooked up to Rio’s cable network so no need to miss all your favorite TV from home, which includes live games from all the major European Football Leagues. We also have a big screen that is set up in the bar for all major European football games.

The Pool Lounge:

Free pool table for you to enjoy.

Play station room:

We have a PS2 with a great selection of games for you to enjoy on rainy days.

Dorms and doubles:

With attention to detail, we’ve made every bunk spacious, built in shelves and given each one its own spotlight. The Brazilian themed dorms are unique, with wardrobes, lockers and differing rates fitting every budget.

The double rooms are for those that want the sociability of the hostel but the privacy and the comfort of a hotel.

All of our dorms and the majority of our double rooms are equipped with air conditioning.

Bathrooms:

We know what it’s like hanging around, waiting for the shower at hostels, so we’ve put in plenty of bathrooms with hot showers to make things more comfortable...

Kitchens:
A fully equipped guest kitchen with plenty of space to create your own culinary delights.

Reception:
Anything you need to know, our friendly, multi-lingual staff will be happy to help. We pride ourselves on having friendlier, better informed, more experienced staff than any other. They will always be there with the best suggestions for days or night out here in Rio.

We offer a free airport pick-up for every guest.

*Please note that there is a minimum stay requirement of 5 nights to qualify for this. If you opt for the pick-up and then stay for less than then you'll be charged the normal pick up price of R$60 when you checkout of the hostel. You need to send us your flight details in advance and we will get back to you with a confirmation. Make sure you look out for our driver with a board with your name on it in the arrivals lounge when you arrive.

- Ladies Night

Every Tuesday all the ladies receive a free caipirinha at the bar.

-Free breakfast:

A brilliant hostel breakfast without question...Great selection of breakfast including orange juice, tea, coffee, bread, ham, cheese, sausages, eggs, jams, brazilian fruits and cakes as well. Served until 1PM!! (Check out up until midday as well.)

-Airport pick-up: Let us know your flight number and one of our staff will get back to you with details.

-Security: Entry card system, secure rucksack size lockers for all and 24/7 security guards, both inside and outside the hostel, in what is one of the safest neighborhoods in Rio.

-Samba/Forro lessons: Well you’re in Brazil so why not learn to dance like a Brazilian! Speak to reception to organize lessons.

-Language classes: We can organize Portuguese classes.

-Tours: We have more of Rio’s best tours available than any other hostel. Includes football trips, samba parties, favela parties, city tours, boat parties, Christ statue tours, surf trips and a number of other great options that other hostels do not provide.

- If you want to go surfing you can even hire a surf board or body board!

-Credit cards: We accept most cards as payment.
