Liked: The place was nice and clean ,had plenty of character and was in a pleasant area that felt very safe. Fatima was very friendly and helpful (great cat). My wife and I were really pleased with it.

Disliked: Toilet could be temperamental about flushing. No other problems.

Liked: Fatima was a very welcoming hostess who went out of her way to help you. The guesthouse was clean and located in a safe place and the breakfasts were lovely - tea\coffee, fruit, toast etc. The guesthouse was located in Leblon which seemed to be quite an expensive area of Rio's beach areas. A meal for 2 cost around £20 each night and with it not being an area with many hostels\hotels it was hard to understand the menus as they were not translated into English unlike in Ipanema and Copacobana. Overall i would definitely recommend this guesthouse if you are a couple or someone who is not looking for the loud nightlife experience.

Liked: VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED: Fatima is a wonderful host - very generous with her advice and welcoming in her home. The apartment is very nice and located right near the cool cafes and shops of Leblon and only 3 mins to the beach. The decor of the apartment is very tasteful with comfortable bedrooms - it's infinitely better than any hostel. Delicious breakfast of fresh fruit, tomatoes & basil on toast, tea & coffee. Fatima's is of the best places we've stayed in our 9 month trip.

Liked: We both had a lovely stay with Fatima and she was so helpful letting us know where to go and which buses to catch. It was a guest house so you stay in her home with 3 rooms to let in total and one bathroom to share. It is not like a hostel at all and perhaps this needs to be a bit clearer on the description? Far from being a negative comment this was actually brilliant and gave much more of an idea of how people live and work in Brazil. Thoroughly enjoyed our time and would definitely recommend it.

Liked: Very good breakfast, very nice staff, like the dog and cat pretty much. Staff knows a lot of info, could be more helpful if speaks better English. The room is a little noisy during the night.

Liked: Fatima was an extremely helpful and friendly host. Breakfast was delicious and Toshi (dog) and Chico (cat) made it even more homely.Really enjoyed our stay and would definately reccommend this place.

Liked: Fatima is a very warm and friendly host helpful to give you some tips on the neighbourhood. She even was willing to have us take a shower after check out and a day on the beach. seriously one of the best guest house experiences I had. The location just blocks away from leblon beach is perfect.

Liked: Fatima´ s home is LOVELY and she is a great hostess.Rooms are spotless and tastefully decorated.Great location. Quality breakfast: linen tablecloth, white china, silver spoons and the best papaya we have ever had! The cutest pets in the world can keep you company if you want!Recomended for couples who are looking for a tasteful and relaxing accommodation. Great value for money.

Liked: fatima is a really nice lady that welcomes you into her house! The hostel was three rooms of her apartment and was in a great location. This is probaly best for small groups or couples rather than singel travellers but Fatima could´t have done more to help us with booking onward trips and to get around rio. I would recomend this hostel to any one!

Liked: Excellent safe location, a few minutes from Lebon beach and a short bus ride or 15/20 minute walk to Ipanema. Good restaurant and bars all within walking distance. atima is a great source of help and information and the place has a real relaxed atmosphere.
