Hywel GriffithVery clean, modern and comfortable - more like a little boutique hotel than hostel. Very good location for the beach and short stroll to Ipanema. Not a place to meet people - but ideal for a couple or small group of friends. |

Customer reviewI really liked the shower and the breakfast. I stayed in another hostel and they didn't have hot nor a lot of water, but the copa beach hostel was really nice!! They had hot water. Also, I really liked the breakfast. They were delicious!! They had fruits, juice, bread, cheese, hams, and cakes. The location was awesome. You just need to walk 1 block? to go to the beach and there are many places to eat around the hostel. Overall, I had a really good time in Rio because of this hostel. Thank You very much!!!! |

Joseph HillThis place was a fantastic place to stay for my first time visiting Brazil. I traveled by myself and thought the hotels were too expensive so I looked into hostels. I booked the private room for 5 nights. It was only $60 usd a night. I thought that was a great deal until I heard how much the shared rooms were...only $15 a night. So I switched to a shared room for my last 2 nights. The location was great, almost on Cópacabana beach and very close to Ipanema. There were many things to do near the hostel and Newton, the owner was very helpful and informative. I was pleasantly surprised at the friendly people I met there. I didnt expect to socialize with them but ended up going out with them to a Brazilian disco. Newton the owner, went with us. We got to see an authentic place where Brazilians go rather that the tourist clubs. So if you like to meet people and stay in a great location, this is the place for you!!! |
