Liked: I loved that it had a pool.

Disliked: Hard to get to and from the hostel.

Liked: Breakfast is amazing. Very chilled out place, very cute old house in a location convenient for exploring Santa Teresa and going out in lappa at night.

Disliked: One fan in the dorm is not sufficient to keep cool at night and it gets very hot. Also there is no bin in the room which is quite annoying yet easy to rectify.

Liked: Lovely old house on the hillside in the nice district of Santa Teresa, just a short walk up the tramlines to bars and restaurants. Great communal area for sitting around reading and listening to music. Amazing breakfast. Lovely new receptionist Indiana was very friendly and helpful to us.

Disliked: The private rooms are lovely but so expensive (like most accomodation in Brazil). the dorm was a bit grotty, especially the bathroom and needs a mosquito net. The place is very quiet so not good for meeting other people, but great if you want some relaxation time. No kitchen facilities and eating out in Rio is extortionate. The first time we stayed here the staff weren´t very helpful, but as I said above the new receptionist is great.

Liked: It is a really nice hotel, with friendly personnel.

Disliked: It is not the cheapest one. And we had some discussions about the price at the end. They tried to refuse the Total price on our hostelbookers confirmation mentioning a special new years eve package, which would nearly double the price. But we did not pay referring them to our confirmation. And they did not accept out 10% deposit. Therefore: Be careful!!!!

Liked: The Santa Teresa area is really nice, with good bars and restaurants. You have good views and it's pretty calm. The hostel has a wonderful terrace and the breakfast was very good. Everything seemed very clean (apart from our room) and well mentained.

Disliked: The dorm was pretty screwed. Just when we entered there were two dead cockroaches on the floor, the guy from the stuff didn't really seemed to know which beds are taken and the bathroom was really disgusting. But it really seems like it was only this dorm, everything else in the hostel seemed ok.

Liked: We arrived late from the airport so was a good location as not as far to go as Copa etc & we left early as we were heading to Ilha Grande so again much nearer for the airport so it was a better location - hence why picked! We arrived and were greeted by a good group of people who offered us beer what more could you ask for after a 12 hour flight!

Disliked: Customer left no negative feedback.

Liked: This beautiful guest house has a quiet dorm, perfect for a budget traveller wishing to escape the crowds. It has a good location in Santa, easy to find and secure. Nice pool, nice people and a wonderful breakfast in a gorgeous wood panelled room. Just perfect!

Disliked: Nothing!

Liked: Sta teresa in beautiful, a unique place in the world and the property itself is incredible. Good breakfast, and truly great staff with the exception of one woman with really negative energy who was rude and unhelpful with guests. The new years package made it terrible value for money for this time period but the usual cost of a dorm would be great value for money. This created a strange dynamic as many dorm dwellers left after they realized how much it was costing them, but again specific for the holiday season.
