Liked: It´s a really nice hostel, tematic decoration, private bathrooms.

Disliked: Noisy and not controlable A/C... but.... it's a hostel with A/C in RIO!!!!!

Liked: Nice roodtop kitchen and lounge chairs. Good breakfast, towel and sheets for free and fans in the dorms worked really well.

Disliked: Kitchen needs a few more pots and pans. Need to vacuum or sweep dorms more often, staff weren't really that great, also needs to have more of a communal space, a bit hard to meet people.

Liked: Good location, friendly staff at the reception.

Disliked: The hostel was too big (not very cozy), the linen and the towels were not very clean. They were not flexible at all - we wanted to have early breakfast, but they didn't let us, which was really bad because 8am is kind of late to have breakfast if you need to leave somewhere early. The kitchen was closed from 10pm-8am. The showers were not good - you either got very cold or very hot water.

Liked: I liked that it was very close to Flamengo Beach, the bus and the metro. The staff were very helpful and very nice.

Disliked: Not much really, if I had pick something it would have to be the room we stayed in. The roof was very low and the door to the toilet and shower was a plastic partition but we were only there to sleep.

Liked: - Staff is absolutely friendly and helpful! - possibility to rent bikes, go to samba shows and much more! - Staff speaks a lot of languages (e.g. portugues, spanish, english, french, german (manager is german)) - we had a private doubleroom including an own bathroom for 20€/person/night - great terrace with nice kitchen etc. - best breakfast we've ever had in a hostel --> go there!!!

Disliked: the only thing we were missing in our room was a small table, closet or sth. else to put things on or in ;)

Liked: The staff were more than helpful very friendly and made my stay like I was at a friends house! I would definantly stay there again. Plenty of closeby restaurants, and buses and metro right at the door step.

Disliked: Nothing it was a pleasure

Liked: The deck for breakfast and chilling out was awesome, and the art all throughout the hostel definitely added to the character. The staff were very enthusiastic to provide help on any day plans you had.

Disliked: I was there whilst it was over 35 degrees every day in Rio, and this place was not somewhere you can escape the heat. There are just too many small rooms all along side each other to provide any relief with just a small fan in each, and even the gorgeous deck could not be used without melting into the chairs.

Liked: I was only here for a night at the tail-end of my stay in Rio but really wish I had found it earlier. Genuinely helpful and lovely staff, gorgeous building, free quick internet, piano keyboard!, lots of character. Awesome.

Disliked: Nada.

Liked: There are three very good things about this hostel.1. Is located in a very good place (close to Lapa and Santa Theresa), the metro station is close by, lots of shops and restaurants nearby as well. 2. The staff is extremely nice and helpful. They seriously become your light in the darkness if you don´t speak portugese :)3. The breakfast is superb! It´s top notch really. It´s served on the roof-top patio and has a broad selection of everything including baguettes, fresh fruit, crackers, cakes, cheese, ham, juices, coffee, tea etc.

Disliked: My stay there was like being on a rollercoaster. Besides what I previously wrote about the great stuff the hostel has to offer, it also has some pretty bad things. For one, the showers are awful. And they don´t even have a mirror in the bathroom or a shower curtain (this was in the 12 bed dorm). The people staying there are not very interesting, so it´s hard to meet fun people to hand out with.

Liked: The atmosphere was great, a lot of young people. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Great breakfast, for this money you get what you can expect. Good price, good place to go out and to go to the beach, close to metro.

Liked: The price, but keeping the quality in mind the price wasn"t too low at all.

Disliked: I booked a double and I got a vacant dorm room. The height was too low to even stand properly somewhere in it. The beds? Just bad. To be honest, that was the worst hostel at my 8 weeks travel round different countries.

Liked: Library consisted of about 10 books, free internet was only 15mins a day, room was awful, no proper window in it so really stuffy and you had to pay an extra 20 real a night to use it. But saying that its was the cheapest place we could find to stay so what did we expect!

Liked: Room great. Breakfast excellent - chocolate cake was awesome! Vending machine wasn't working for water or beer however - need a better system of selling drinks to guests.
