Liked: Party atmosphere and a great place to meet other people. Pretty good kitchen. Great location and WiFi.

Disliked: Too crowded in the dorms, we hade 18 beds in our room even though we booked "max 16 beds". There were too few toilets for all the people staying there.

Disliked: Dorms were crowded and dirty, bathrooms were tiny - you could barely turn around in there and they were filthy, the staff were not helpful, everything was completely disorganized. We HATED this hostel.

Liked: Good choice for a backpacker in Rio. Great location, easy meeting people from all over the world, cool staff, inexpensive drinks, activities, etc. Will definetely recommend this hostel to other travelers.

Liked: Great location and very helpful staff

Disliked: The bathrooms could have been cleane more frequently, however I was there during the week of carnival so I can understand that the hostel had more people than usual using the facilities.

Liked: I liked the atmosphere of this hostel, all the staff were so friendly and helpful. Th chef was amazing and would cook really tasty meals every evening especially New Years Eve, the rooms were clean.

Disliked: Only one little thing, it needs more bathrooms, there were often queues.

Liked: I've had a great stay in el misti hostel. It is really easy to meet people there and it has a relaxed atmosphere with good caipirinhas! ;) The lockers are big and spacy and made out of metal - so you can store your luggage safely (if you bring your lock). You receive also a very nice map of Rio.

Disliked: Nothing much actually - the dorms in the ground floor are a bit loud, but that's normal in most hostels where you also want to party and meet people.

Liked: Every staff are friendly and kind. It's comfortable to stay.

Disliked: The air conditioner was too strong during our sleeping.

Liked: There was a great vibe in this hostel. The staff were very friendly. The breakfast was good and the staff were constantly cleaning. It is great value for money.

Disliked: There wasn't anything that I disliked. The tours that the hostel offered were great but a little on the expensive side.

Liked: Good location. Friendly staff. Very good breakfast and dinner. Clean.

Disliked: Too many beds in every dorm, it gets really cramped. All too few charging points. The common area could be bigger. Not very many bathrooms for so many people.

Liked: Great social atmosphere, friendly people. Good bathrooms and showers.

Disliked: Very very loud. I wouldn't recommend staying here on a Friday or Saturday night if you plan to go to sleep before 4am.

Disliked: dorm of 18 was very busy all the time as we had the only balcony in the hostel. triple bunks. not enough bathrooms.

Liked: great location in a safe area. Staff were always there to help and give advice on attractions and transport etc. Great breakfast!

Disliked: Downside if you are sleeping in the downstairs dorm as you are next to the window where people have breakfast and can get quite loud at times
