Liked: the locacion, close to the beach

Liked: Fantastic English speaking staff. Brilliant atmosphere all the time. Location is very good. Lockers that will fit a very large backpack and travel bag. Really really good value for money.

Disliked: Perhaps too much going on all the time?? INot the best option for someone wanting a quiet stay in Rio!

Liked: This hostel did exactly what it said on the tin - basic backpacker accommodation with free brasillian breakfast (one of the better free breakfasts I had in brazi) and free wifi. Really good party atmosphere

Disliked: I was in a 16 bed dorm for carnival so things were a bit hectic....as you expect during carnival. The Wifi was only free if you have your own laptop, the use of the hostels PC's is chargeable. The tours can usually be done a lot cheaper without using the hostel (except the flavella one - DO NOT do that on your own!!)

Liked: Location.

Disliked: Expensive for the triple bunkbeds crammed into rooms. Not very brazilian as most of the staff are argentine, and seemed more intent on having their own fun rather than helping out guests with information. The staff in the other El Misti House in Copacabana were nicer.

Liked: great place to meet people if lone traveller like myself, staff organise trips so all go together, food is great value 12reals. awesome time ill be back for a few more days in mid march.

Liked: felt very homely and the staff organised a lot of nights out. the dinner was brilliant and great value for money, so was the bar for drinks!!

Disliked: lots of people in a small hostel so the social area and bar got quite packed so hard to find a seat some nights!!

Liked: Great place to meet new friends, drink caiprinhas and get excited. The staff were on the whole really friendly and it was a great place to stay.

Liked: La ubicación, la amabilidad del personal y la facilidad que existe para conocer gente de distintas partes.

Disliked: Algunos cuartos están sobrepoblados, la falta de aire acondicionado en la mayor parte de las habitaciones y la poca cantidad de baños.

Liked: Good hostel, nice vibe.

Disliked: The staff in the morning: great that they are having fun but it's not very nice to be woken up every morning at 7 by screaming (in a fun way).

Liked: Friendly English, Spanish and Portuguese speaking staff. Every night all you can eat for 12/15 reais. Good location. Great other backpackers

Disliked: Could use more bathrooms, sometimes you have to wait. Bedrooms are ok but miss a special flair

Liked: Awesome place! Had THE most wonderful girl help us with everything whilst we stayed, Natilia (sorry if we spelt your name wrong!)There was a mix up with pickup and room, And they sorted everything very honerabley and kindly!! Great location, good fun place felt safe...AWESOME staff!STAY AT THIS HOSTEL!!!

Liked: Very lively and easy-going place, and the people at the desk also set up tours and parties for guests. You get a free ride to the airport if you spend 100 reals.

Disliked: The beds/sheets weren't very nice, and the rooms were crowded with 16 per room.

Liked: Good all around people who work there and they cook a good meal at night for R12 that is hard to beat and a great place to party with backpackers from all over the world. And the best location near the beach and you feel safe there also.

Liked: The atmosphere was really good and you could see that the staff love what they do. The only thing that they don't seem to get right is the free airport pickup they are promising. I had to call them from the airport and they only sent a car for us after that. i spoke to a bunch of people who had the same experience. otherwise i would recommend this hostel.

Liked: The Hostel has a very good breakfast! The sheets are clean and the common area is nice. But: it is in opposite of a mortuary and just in front of a hospital...it is noisy at night. If you want to be in Copacabana just for party, this place is perfect, if you want to relax as well, choose another place to stay =)
