Liked: A very warm welcome at the hostel by Pablo who runs the place. 50m from bus station and a 5 min walk to the old part of the town. This place ticks all the boxes for me

Liked: Deze hostel is een absolute aanrader!! Een huiselijke sfeer, zeer behulpzame eigenaar, een gezellige tuin met hangmatten... een ideale plaats om je thuis te voelen en te chillen! Tevens ook goed gelegen! Bushalte om de hoek en je kan in de hostel mountainbikes huren en kajaktour regelen, ook een aanrader!

Liked: Fantastic hostel. Really friendly and cosy. Excellent strong wifi, good breakfast. Mosquito nets supplied which is amazing because there are ALOT of mosquitos. Pablo couldnt be more helpful and welcoming.

Liked: Good location for the bus station and supermarket (although directions on website were out of date which caused confusion)

Disliked: A little too quiet, mosquito nets weren't cleaned. Nobody was in when we checked out so had to leave out cash with someone who didnt speak english. Found it difficult to relax as it felt more like a homestay than a hostel. We weren't told about breakfast so weren't aware of any being available until after we had left.

Liked: Very friendly staff and a lovely homely hostel. it was easy to find from the bus station and easily accessible to everything. The breakfast was amazing.

Disliked: its a very chilled hostel but thats exactly what we were looking for after carnival

Liked: A really great place, easily on of the best i have stayed in in south america, Pablo and the team are so welcoming, breakfast is great too, lots of fresh fruit, bread etc and they make sure everyone has breakfast. Located really close to the bus station and supermarket and not far from the cobbled streets of paraty. Would love to have stayed longer and will definately try and get back one day! Thanks to everyone there who made my stay very memorable.

Disliked: Lack of water after the mud carnaval but not the hostels fault!!!

Liked: we liked the breakfast and the staff was great - good music and a relaxing atmosphere, really easy to reach the historical center;

Disliked: no key to the room, but in the end we managed to leave our staff with the host

Liked: breakfast good nice homely atmosphere nice to be so close to bus station upon arrival - no need to walk for miles with a backpack.

Disliked: no where safe to keep your belongings- although you are in a house with the actual family, there is no where to lock away your passport etc. no AC - although there were enough fans to be ok because close to the bus station, is v noisy early morning. also a bit dodgy walking back at night alone fromt he main aquare - about a ten minute walk.

Liked: The Breakfast was incredible. A lot of effort is made to serve a feast at breakfast. The tastiest freshest natural juices I had in Brazil. Great quality and presentation. Breakfast feels like a family celebration. The overall vibe in the hostel was really chilled, easy going and felt like a home. Paulo runs the hostel incredibly well and its got a great vibe and atmosphere.

Disliked: The fans made so much noise it was impossible to sleep : ( and it was too hot not to use them. The mattresses were really old and dirty looking and uncomfortable and sheets would often come away at night- its a shock in the morning Also not much space in dorm as so many beds backed in- so storing bags and getting to things is a problem. No lockers but they have a safe for passports.

Liked: It was such a relaxed and friendly place to stay and the staff were so helpful and really made us feel at home

Disliked: One day, the little girl who was in the hostel was running up to our room which I didn't think was good.

Liked: Hostel is described as like staying in your own home, which can be a good thing but in this case it wasn't. Its hard to relax in the common areas when there are kids eating their dinner and watching cartoons. Its like you are interrupting family time. There is no wifi, only one computer and there was always a line of people waiting to use it, often randoms or friends that weren't even staying in the hostel. The pool is a blowup pool that is very dirty and breeding mosquitos. Rooms are very basic.The hostel is in a great location just opposite bus station and supermarket, short walk to town. The owner and assistant were very helpful taking us to beaches and on a kayaking trip etc.

Liked: Great little hostel, with everything you need close by. Originally booked 3 nights but stayed for 5. Not far from the historical places in Paraty. The owner Pablo is so laid back and will do anything to help you. Full of information about the area and places to see, and activities to do. Fully equipped kitchen - which is actually true! not like half the ones you go to that have nothing. Great selection at breakfast and in general a real homely place to stay!

Liked: Pablo, the owner is fantastic and will go out of his way to help, befriend and make welcome his guests. It is like staying in his home, leaving guests feeling chilled out and relaxed. The kitchen and lounge area are ideal for cheaper and quieter nights in - one night Pablo even did us a delicious bbq. The hostel has an excellent breakfast and ideal location close to the bus station which is in easy walking distance of the beautiful historic centre.
