Liked: Good location

Disliked: I was essentially kicked out of this hostel soon after checkout by an extremely unpleasant woman at reception. They charged me to store my bags (as they charged for everything - towels, WiFi, etc.) but wouldn't let me sit and read at the hostel until my flight because it would "disturb the paying guests." I've never been treated so rudely (e.g. the woman followed me into the bathroom and started yelling that I couldn't use it) and would not recommend this hostel to anyone.

Liked: The hostel is nice, the rooms are quite big and comfy, air conditionning in double room, + fans in every room, the breakfast is nice, great location

Disliked: The only thing would be to you have to pay for using the wifi... 5 Reais a day...

Liked: Very helpful guy from Netherland organized trip to jungle on Rio Negro river. Staying there was little belove expections but still ok. They were nice and helped order a pizza.

Disliked: We could wait in the hostel only two hours after check-out, then we had to leave. I just went for my shoes in ladys room, receptionist came right away and told me I can`t enter. Breakfast is not self service, but it is ok. Maybe some strange people, a bit strange city (at night) and a bit strange hostel, but you probably go in wildness so it doesn`t affect you.

Liked: Excellent location, close to everything

Disliked: The room had no window, just a slot on the door. The room was smelling unpleasantly, to put it politely, on account of the lack of a window, probably. The breakfast was minimal, the staff barely adequate, not a smile, a friendly gesture, hardly a word of English. The hostel is full of little placards, not to do this and that, it is forbidden to: almost to exist there! Breathing is allowed... :O)

Liked: They were not great so much, but we have only few choices for hostels in Manaus. Thus, I think this hostel is still fine enough to choose to stay. Toilets are clean. Showers have good pressure and hot enough.

Disliked: There are two receptions. A lady is nice, speaking some English. However, a man is unfriendly, no smile, cannot speaking English, almost zero. I was staying in a room with A/C, but A/C cooler was weak. WiFi is free, but you need to pay to use one PC.

Liked: Great location near the theatre

Disliked: Staff member forcing me to go out onto the streets as I signed out even though I paid for them to look after my bag... Lack of people Breakfast being a compulsory cheese toastie, watermelon slice and juice... I like a bit of choice.

Liked: Great value for money, and the staff were simply superb! The breakfast is yummy and the lady that makes it is wonderful. There is a supermarket right around the corner and you can walk to everything. I´d definately stay here again. Thanks guys - it was fun!

Liked: The staff were nice but i think the hostel could have been cleaner. I really dont understand why people have cats in hostels - they spread dirt. The arms of the sofas were covered in ming from the cat.

Liked: Location. The daytime female receptionist was very helpful and friendly and spoke some English. Evening/night the man on duty was VERY unhelpful and also made no attempt to speak English. He sat in the TV lounge with friend/s with TV on all evening so it was not possible for guests to sit in there talking with friends. We had to sit downstairs in kitchen where it was uncomfortable chairs and very hot. He had a fan upstairs in the lounge but would not let us have one in kitchen.

Liked: The location is ok, but the place itself is not comfortable. We've booked a double room and had to stay in a stinky bunker with a bunk bed, worn out sheets and pillows and without any window. It smells like urine. The airconditioning is really necessary, but they put it off between 7am and 9pm. They charge you for a towel and the shared bathroom is dirty and full of mosquito's The breakfast is more like a bite: a light fat toast with a juice diluted with 80% of water.Not worth for BR$ 65 per night!
