Access is by BA-001- a new asphalt road that connects directly to Ilhéus Itacaré following the coastline. Tour Operators of Itacaré offer transfer services between Ilheus and Itacare. You can also rent a car at the airport of Ilhéus.

Several buses leave daily from Ilheus to Itacare the company Rota. The first leaves at 7:00 in the morning. Then have a bus every hour until 19:40. The price of passage is around 10 real. The trip takes a maximum of 1 hour and 40 minutes.

A taxi from the airport costs around 150 Reais.
