For those who are used to travel around the world, this might be one of your all-time favorite hostels. The staff make you feel incredibly welcome and take time to help everyone with whatever they need. After a day at the falls, we can recommend great places to eat that aren't too expensive.

Katharina House offers a new take on the guesthouse experience... Under the administration of Jaha Iguassu Explorer Tourism, Katharina House benefits from the knowledge and experience brought by the team at Pousada Laura, a well-established and highly popular guesthouse which is under the same management team.

We offer you everything you could need and want so that you can make the most of your holidays and stay in Foz do Iguaçu: a great local & Brazil-wide information and quality entertainment all at an excellent price. We invite you to try it for yourself and feel at 'home away from home.'

We offer guests a great Brazilian buffet breakfast. This is included in the price and is a great way to start the day.

Accommodation Information

Our spacious rooms are always clean and with linen on the beds. The shared dorms are safe and good places for meeting fellow backpackers. If you wish to have a little more privacy, alone or with your travel companion, our double / single private rooms are made especially for you. We offer towels and there’s also a great, full Brazilian breakfast waiting for you every morning.

Location Information

We enjoy an excellent location – about 200m from the local bus station & only 20m from the bus stop which takes you to the Brazilian & Argentinian sides of the Water Falls every 20min. We're only 100m from Brazil & JK Avenue with all the banks, ATM's, pharmacies, supermarkets & restaurants. And we're next to the Buffalo Branco BBQ & other various bars & restaurants which form part of the 'Tourist Corridor', recently inaugurated on Rua Taroba where you will find Katharina House
