Liked: Good value at Ceara. we had a private double room with bathroom. clean. with fan and access to kitchen facilities. helpful staff

Disliked: there are three doors to enter the hostel which is a measure for security. it is not the greatest location, and you have to walk to get to the the seafront and the market. again, for what you pay,

Liked: Hostel is very close to Dragao do Mar, and center of the city. Price I paid was super good for this city.

Disliked: Weird vibe, nothing really going on, reception does not really exist, when you arrive it takes time for someone to come and open the door for you. Man bathroom has motion sensor that turns off in the worst time... than you have to get out of the stall and wave in the dark...

Liked: very safe. nice staff. clean bathrooms.

Disliked: no breakfast, unless u have your own room amongst friends you cant lock ur dorm as it locks with a padlock. the staircase to the second floor is a bit of a struggle with your bags

Liked: basic, secure, friendly and well located..cooking facilities a bonus as fortaleza is an expensive city to eat out in

Disliked: the not so wide spiral staircase to reach the upper floor.......steep and could be quite dangerous on the way down

Liked: cheap. good place to meet people. internet. BEST pizzaplace right around the corner!

Disliked: they didn't find our reservation even though I had it on my e-mail. "luckily" we got a room anyway. It was dirty and filthy, the doors had no locks which made it a risk to leave the room, no toilet paper or soap, not very friendly staff - we felt that we annoyed them when we asked a couple of question. the gardener, who didn't speak english, was more helpful than the owners themselves. we left after one night.

Liked: the price. very cheap.

Disliked: had to bring your own toilet paper. There was a rat in the garden. no breakfast which was probably a good thing considering the state of the kitchen.

Liked: The location was perfect! Nice atmosphere. If you are looking for a simple room and cheap, this is perfect.

Disliked: Don't expect more for this money and than it's perfect. The supermarket is not close.

Liked: This is a good place to stay in Fortaleza which I would go back to - if going that way again. It's very chilled and and the main common area is in a lovely shaded garden and has a TV and Wifi access (I didn't spot a computer terminal, but there may have been one). The beds aren't the best, having only foam mattresses, but the turbo fans keeping you cool and comfortable will likely make you forget this. The toilets and (cold) showers are always clean, but unfortunately no toilet paper in the gents, so source your own if you're a bloke like me. There's no breakfast, but there is a fridge and gas stove other cooking equipment for guest use. Giselle is kind, friendly and helpful and speaks english if you need her to - and will advise on all local information that you need. If you need a decent and cheap place to stay in Fortaleza, make this your first choice.

Liked: I enjoyed the relaxed vibes created by the hammocks and the lawn that hugs the kitchen and a various rooms. It is well located because their are plenty of dangerous places in fortaleza at night and it helps that its easy to access buses to the rodoviaria and the airplane.

Liked: it's a nice hostel with a very friendly and helpful owner. She was always ready to answer all our questions. She told us where to go and which areas to avoid. Overall it was a nice place to stay!

Liked: Great value for money. Friendly staff, good overall organization, with neat individual bedrooms and regularly cleaned bathrooms. And above all, great prices, 'cause Fortaleza is quite an expensive city. I would point as a positive aspect the fact that the hostel is very close to Dragão do Mar Cultural Center, which is a very nice place. However, it's not very close to the beach, and the location requires travelers to take some safety measures while walking in the neighbourhood.

Liked: Nice helpful owners. Rooms were basic but cheap at R20 for a single. No common room or internet but open style kitchen in garden was the chill out area. Handy for a stopover heading north or south.
