Liked: Its a cool hostel,it´s reputation for being a party hostel is true, but its still pretty chilled during the day. They are very helpful and have lots going on. Close to the beach and for trips to various parts of the island. Recommended.

Disliked: The Bathrooms! Not enough for the amount of people and they get messed up very quickly - mainly due to the abuse by others. Leave it how you´d like to find it people!!

Liked: Atmosphere, staff, easy to make friends and talk to people, beautiful landscape, lots of activities.

Liked: The staff is friendly. The room's view are really nice and the hostel is close of the beach.

Disliked: the cleaning of the rooms are not performed very well (there's a lot of dirt under beds and other furniture). The staff responsible for cleaning that does not respect the host is sleeping, talking on high volume inside the rooms!

Liked: BEST HOSTEL IN MY HOLE TRIP! I arrived to stay only 2 nights and Istay over 4 weeks, amazing hostel, a lot of fun , unbeliveable view from the lake with awesome sunset, nuce parties, good surfing only 5 minutes walkink from mole and joaquina beach, nice track, helpfull staffs, definelly come back for summer iraaaaa

Liked: it was close to the beach

Disliked: This hosel was VERY DIRTY! I didn't see a cleaning lady throughout the common ground the entire time we were there. Furthermore the rooms were disgusting and the bed and the pillows stink! The pictures look good but the hostel is disgusting! DO NOT LET THE PICTURES FOOL YOU!

Liked: Almost too many things to mention. We were only supposed to be here for 3 nights and ended up staying for 8. They were so helpful and the breakfast was just amazing. Everytime you needed something they would take care of it. 29th of April is queensnight (a national holiday in the Netherlands) and we were kinda sad to miss it and we mentioned this to the staff, and the immediately organized a huge party (even though we only mentioned it a day before). They bought loads of orange stuff, and threw an amazing party together. Really didnt want to leave, and definitely will be back!!!!!!

Disliked: that I had to leave....

Liked: to expensive for just staying in a 10bed dorm.

Disliked: If you feel confortable to stay with other rich traveller, which affort every night going out parties (offert from the hostel) for arround 70Reais And want to join the not too cheap daily food (arround 14Reais) you are on the right place, otherwise there are better hostels arround which are better...

Liked: Best place that I have stayed on a 4 month tour of South America. Staff are amazing, food is good, parties are awesome. Highly, highly recommend!!

Liked: It was the nicest hostel I have ever stayed at! It had the prettiest view, the most gorgeous property. The staff are loads of fun, organizing lots of activities! The bar is perfect, as is the outdoor tv room they have to chill in. I love love loved it, and can't wait to go back, because I never wanted to leave in the first place.

Disliked: nothing at alL!

Liked: Good place to meet other people, close to the beach and bus stop, things on offer to do during the day, swimming pool, nights out including transfer to and from nightclubs organised, and good meals put on at night - especially the BBQ!

Disliked: pretty far from the night life and any decent supermarkets, you could only use the kitchen before 6pm and after 9pm which was a bit annoying. fairly expensive hostel to stay at.

Liked: came here for a week and ended up staying for almost 3...this hostel is amazing for meeting people if you are travelling alone, the dorms are big and spacious, the bar is great fun and the staff make you feel like part of the family! its located in a perfect spot with amazing views of the lagao at sunset and its near enough to everything to enable you to explore the beaches and the nightlife close by. there is always something to do with staff organising trips around the island to evening meals and nights out :) thankyou for a brilliant stay sunset!

Liked: This hostel is very clean and sits in a beautiful location on the bay with a view worthy of a 5* hotel. The staff work really hard to Ensure there is always something going on and you are never bored. Great bar reasonably priced and close to great beaches.

Disliked: Very indepEndent travelers may find the atmosphere of organised fun a bit much

Liked: great hostel! originally booked 2 nights and ended up staying for over a week. located in a really great place close to the beach. the view overlooking the lake is amazing. such a tranquil and peaceful setting but always a party to be had at night! free caprinhas at 7.30. really friendly staff and house pet Zeca who are always up for a laugh and make you feel at home. activities and trips organised every day, all you can eat dinners every night, never made breakfast but heard it was worth getting up for! weather was awful which limited what we could do activity wise but the staff made sure to entertain us all and had a fantastic time!

Liked: Backpackers Sunset was amazing! We would defenitely recommend this hostel when coming to Florianopolis! Staff is really friendly and helpful, breakfast is the best one so far and the view is stunning. They organize lots of trips and the atmosphere is relaxed and fun. The staff member that we would defenitely miss is Zeca the dog!

Liked: This is the best hostel I've stayed in so far ib Brazil, the location is beautiful, the staff go out of their way to help you and also keeo the guests amused. The evening meals on offer were realy good quality and were all you can eat. The room we stayed was so clean and had a spa bath and was ensuite to the girls dorm. Its a really place to meet people and make new friends, I just wanted to stay there forever - keep up the great work Junior and all the staff at Sunset.
