Liked: A fantastic hostel that has friendly and sociable staff members that are more like family. The beds are fine, the bar is great, and the activities provided are good and relatively cheap. Be prepared to stay longer than you initially wanted to.

Disliked: The mosquitoes - but you can't blame the hostel on that.

Liked: Great location, stunning views of beach, great friendly staff.

Disliked: The toilet is inside the bedroom where everyone sleeps - so the door opens to someone's bed and everyone else in the room, gross!

Liked: The staff were absolutely unbeatable! So much fun an went out of their way to help with anything you could possibly want. The shared dinners are really nice and a great way to meet others.

Disliked: Only complaint was they need to keep the bathrooms better stocked with toilet paper, and I~m not 100% sure that towels and sheets get changed between every guest.

Liked: this hostel has it all, looking over a beautiful beach, great crowd, good facilities, good breakfast, amazing dinners, heaps of free stuff, pumping bar, and the staff, i felt like i have been freinds with them for years! i highly recomend to anyone backpackers sharehouse, i cant wait to get back there in jan!!!

Disliked: tim left no negative feedback.

Liked: Great for meeting other travellers, good social areas and atmosphere, they do excellent food a few nights of the week, all great value.

Disliked: the bar can get quite noisy in the evening, not many chill out areas to hide if you want a quiet one

Liked: this place is great! the staff are so nice! the food they cook is very cheap and very nice. the location is lovely, overlooking the river and beach. right next to the bus stop too. the atmosphere and decor in the hostel is great. the dorms are nice and clean and spacious. lots to do, free rental of beach toys, and they offer lots of useful information to help you plan your activities. this is the best hostel i have ever stayed in!

Liked: I loved this hostel. It's a great place to meet people. Very sociable. They organise events every night if you want to go out and most nights offer a reasonably priced meal too which was always delicous. The breakfasts were great too. We got pancakes, toasted sandwhiches, fruit... It's also located right on the beach so it's a great place to chill out but it's not difficult to get to other places if you want. Would definitely recommend!

Disliked: You're not allowed to bring your own alcohol which is a bit annoying if you're trying to save money but I think most other hostels have this rule too. Also, if you didn't want to eat the cooked meals in the evening, then it's impossible to use the kitchen while the staff are using it but the meals were good anyway and not too expensive.

Liked: Loved it all! We booked in for 2 nights and ended up staying 4. The place was a great way of meeting people and the staff were friendly and helpful. The dinners were also amazing. Would go back in a heartbeat!

Disliked: The communal showers and toilet could do with fixing up a bit.

Liked: The staff are extremely helpful and friendly. The rooms are clean and spacious and the dinners are great, Also all the toys are free for use, kayaks surfboards and footballs. Great place to stay.

Liked: This hostel offered a great atmosphere, it wasn't too large and not too small, so you could meet people and make friends quite easily. It was a great location to the beach and restaurants and all the facilities were free. It had a decent sized working kitchen - like everything worked and there were actually all the utensils you needed there. The staff were really hospitable and always getting into the parties with everyone else

Disliked: nothing really, but I would have liked to be able to access the kitchen more, the time I was there there was 4 out of 5 nights where a dinner was put on so I couldn't use it between 5 and 10pm

Liked: The staff were absolutely amazing! I was waiting for my passport to arrive so I actually landed up staying here for almost two weeks. It was no hassle for them to ring and book buses for me (as I don't speak Portuguese) Or have my passport delivered there. We had missed out on the organised transport (we couldn't decide whether we wanted to go, so totally our fault) and it was no issue to arrange another bus on such late notice. The food was absolutely amazing and so very cheap, the most we would pay was R20 for a full meat BBQ and salads ETC whereas the town would charge double and the food was pretty average.

Disliked: That I eventually had to leave :) I cannot say one bad word against them.

Liked: Loved everything about this place!! the highlights?? The location - an amazing view right from your room and the friendliness of staff, from the reception to the bar, do not hesitate on this one, it´s a great spot!

Liked: The staff were great...Tish is lovely and really helpful. The bar was great craic loads of things to do and places to go. The rooms are lovely too and the hostel is really clean and in a great location by the beach.Excellent value.
