Liked: I liked that I was too tired to think about how it wasn't that good.

Disliked: I disliked the lack of care of the staff to give the basic informations about breakfast and check-out times. I arrived at night, the guy gave me the key for my room, a towel and didn't tell me anything about the breakfast that finishes at 9am!! Also the bathroom doesn't have a curtain for the shower are, which makes the whole bathroom wet and even leaking outside of the bedrooms in the corridor. The mattresses are terrible and gives you a backache in the morning. Overall, for one night, if you're tired enough, it's ok.

Liked: The staff where very friendly and offered a good , if some what early breakfast. Good internet connection and very reasonably priced.

Disliked: We had to move room at 1am after finding the bed sheet covered in bed bugs. They changed our room and gave us the night for free. DO NOT BOOK YOUR TOUR WITH THEM. We booked a 3N/4D tour to the Pantanal for 450 Reals each. The tour was a waste of money. We spent 6 hours in the middle of each day sitting around doing nothing in the Pantanal hostel. The Jeep tour was nothing but the ride to the hostel in the pantanal. We didnt do everything we where told we would, the horse riding offered no helmets or protection. The guides where very poor and tormented the wildlife. When asked to stop, they became very aggressive towards the people on the tour. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. and dont expect your money back

Liked: The owner, Rodrigo was very helpful

Disliked: Despite being very helpful, the owner was pretty shady and just wanted to sell you his tour of the Pantanal for which I have read some dodgy reviews for. We only booked this hostel for the free pick up which did not happen as he was obviously in bed. The same thing happened when we came to leave and almost missed our train to Bolivia. Kitchen was awful,

Disliked: Aggresive sales on pantanal trip 'ecological expedition tour'. Claim to have a free pickup, but if you don't book the tour they want you to pay the taxi.

Disliked: to pushey with their tour to the pantanal (which we heard bad reports about afterwards - we went with santa clara which was brilliant!) staff weren´t interested in talking to us after we said we weren´t booking a tour with them! fridge stank and the kitchen is tiny!

Liked: Very nice hostel. Clean rooms and bathrooms. Good breakfast if you can get up in time! Lovely pool area. Free pick up from bus station, just call when you arrive. Rodrigo the manager and all the staff were incredibly helpful. Really a second family, they will do anything for you.They run a good Pantanal tour also.

Disliked: No real cooking facilities.

Liked: Goo Wi Fi and rate is cheap if you want to spend a night there as you can get a free transfer from the new bus station which is miles away from the hostel

Disliked: No atmosphere, roon are very basic, the rooms aslo have unwelcome additions such as bed bugs.

Liked: Simple hostel but very efficient. Has everything you need for your stay before or after pantanal tour. Good breakfast. Very helpful staff when my flight was cancelled- they telephoned the airport for me.

Disliked: Nothing in particular. Wasn't special or anything to rave about.

Liked: The hostel was nice - the staff were really helpful and sorted out everything for us, including collection/drop off at the bus station. Beware of descriptions on some websites saying the hostel is right opposite the bus station as the station moved 3 weeks before we went there! But had a good stay here in a nice town.

Liked: Not a bad place but depressing location. Rodrigo will feed you whatever you want to hear to get you to go on the tour, he knows jack about it but was a good tour. Bring shoes mozzie repellant (alot), mosquito net and long pants and shirts. Mozzies are shocking. Despite what he says 15 years experience as guide he has never been one. Besides him tour was good had some great guides and times would have been better if Rodrigo wasnt full of it. Try and book direct is possible he does no deserve a cent from anyone!

Liked: Convenient location next to the bus station but its a very dodgy area, one that you cant walk around after dark. There's snacks available from the hostel and Mc D's 5 minutes up the road. Breakfast was good with lots of fruit and bread. Staff were pushy to try to get you to go to the Pantanal with their company, Eco Tours, but we resisted and went with Pantanal Viagens with no regrets.

Liked: The staff were friendly, the location is good for the bus station and getting sorted for the pantanal, but its not good for getting into town. You dont want to walk into town in the evening and there isnt many places to get food near by so you have to order in or take a taxi. Same issue with getting cash out. There is a tour company in the hostel which is fine, but make sure you ask exactly whats included in the tours as your first lunch and return transport wont be, and people on our tour didnt know this!
