About Abaquar hostel
Peter and Fernanda, the owners, a young Belgian - Brazilian couple are passionate about the values of nature and cultural diversities which they discovered after traveling around the world. They got to know different cultures and finally met each other in Thailand, where they joined their ideals and dreams. They chose the island of Boipeba as their paradise, not only to live in their own place but also to build a wonderful hostel, which is truly unique and located in the middle of nature!
The hostel has 10 bedrooms, 4 double rooms with ventilator, 3 double rooms with airco and 3 bedrooms with capacity for 6 people each, all very airy, with ensuite and balcony overlooking the garden.
The daily price includes bed and bath linen as well as a delicious breakfast served with great care on the balcony every morning.
The word Boipeba originates in Tupi Guarani.
Boipeba is one of the oldest sites of colonization of Brazil, founded in 1537 by the Jesuits. The island is formed by the villages of Old Boipeba, San Sebastian, and Moreré, and is inserted in Tinharé Archipelago which is an environmentally protected area (APA), composed of thirty-six islands. The island has a rare natural beauty and different ecosystem-s as the Atlantic Forest, extensive mangrove forests and deserted beaches with white sand and blue sea. A true preserved paradise!
