Liked: Miki, who was the one taking care about the place, was extremely funny, speaking a bit of Polish and English. Anyway, he managed to pick us up from the bus station (6 people in so small taxi:)) and gave us a hand all time during our staying in Sarajevo. Even though that the place was noisy (the busy street) was clean and cozy. It was a really good deal! Plus Sarajevo rules!

Liked: Not exactly a 'party hostel' however it is a great location next to the old town. The owners were some of the most accomodating people i have met on my travels and we ended up staying an extra couple of nights

Liked: Mickey was great and helped us with everything we needed - laundry, tours, internet access, information about the city. I highly recommend him - he has done a lot for us in helping us get acclimated to Sarajevo.

Liked: This was a great place to stay, decent size rooms and just a stone throw from the main centre. Miki the owner will ensure that you get everything you need and will help you out with anything. He is a walking guide book, he is just brilliant. I would recommend Hostel Marko Polo to anyone. Brilliant value for money.

Liked: we turned up at the hostel and no one was there but we rang a number and the guy turned up in an hour, we then got taken to a completely different hostel 5 mins down the road in a nicer location, the staff were very nice but the house had a dog that did not stop barking!

Liked: Not a hostel, just a set of rooms. Miki, who owns the place, is nice enough, but you get the impression this is because he desperately wants to improve the ratings for this hostel. I showed up at about 11pm and had to be let in by another guest, and this was only after standing around in the dark ringing the doorbell for 10 minutes.Ok, its clean but theres no communal area and somewhere without permanent staff is always going to be limited in its safety.

Liked: We actually stayed in private accommodation that the hostel owner arranges. It was a big rumpus in family home right in the middle of town. Was a fantastic location and the owner is very friendly and helpful.

Liked: Really helpful and friendly staff. Please note that there is kitchen only in the double room so it`s not for everybody`s use. Great location and good beds though.

Liked: Very homely and clean. Doen't feel like a standard hostel, rather an apartment that rented out rooms. Value for money and great location so would recommend, though suggest calling ahead to confirm arrival time as not staffed 27x7.
